JOB DISCRPTION
The planning, monitoring and management of health, safety and welfare during the construction phase of a project in order to meet and comply with the CDM regulations 2015
Roles and Responsibilities:
To offer guidance on planning and designing, for health and safety within construction projects and the roles and responsibilities encompassed within the CDM Regulations 2015.
To monitor the working conditions in terms of health and safety, prior of any construction activity, and ensure that hazards are identified and eliminated, resulting to the optimum welfare of others involved.
To liaise with other duty holders such as the client, regarding the project need and expectations for better orientation and understanding of the site requirements.
To ensure that all welfare facilities are provided and are sufficient, according to the nature and capacity of the site, and arrange for their availability and operation upon the beginning of works.
To coordinate with management, in order to provide the adequate personnel for supervision and execution, and ensure that they have the right blend of skills, knowledge training and experience accordingly.
To monitor and coordinate the health and safety in the construction phase of a project by liaising with the client and principal designer and ensure that suitable site instructions are provided and reasonable steps are taken to prevent unauthorized access.
BSc. in an appropriate engineering discipline;
CDM accredited
