Assistant Manager - Projects (warehouse, Automation)
- Role Purpose
- Agree key outcome targeted from project implementation and management.
- Conduct assessment of execution risks at the initiation stage
- Highlight linkages / impact on other projects by implementing a particular project
- Prepare project schedules (weekly and monthly)
- Provide inputs for cost and time estimation basis projects executed in the past
- Prepare report on cash flow availability on a periodic basis and highlight impact on project delivery due to cash availability constraints
- Review progress of work performed by contractors and check adherence against plan
- Define guidelines for inspection of incoming material.
- Identification of suppliers across the world and source the material with the lowest cost.
- Carry out inspection of site construction activities
- Establish procedures for meeting Health, Safety and environment standards for project execution
- Sign off and agree on project closure
- Provide inputs on past performance of vendors / contractors.
- Support validation of claims made by contractors.
- Verify contractor bills for physical completion of work
- Liaise with procurement to ensure timely availability of critical project components
- Coordinate project commissioning activities with Operations head
- Train the users and handover
- Document learning from the project to be used for subsequent projects
Responsible for successful execution of project plans within the planned timelines and budgets and support operating teams in data gathering and processing, setting priorities, defining and executing improvement projects.
