- WSP Canada is looking for 2 residents Engineers in Burundi.
The Project has three main components :-
(a) Building three transmission lines 156 km and associated substations;
(b) Supervision and project management consultancy services; and
(c) Implementation of Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) and Resettlement Action Plan (RAP).
The Resident Engineers should be available full time (approx 18 months) starting from the Supervision Service Contract commencement date. They are responsible for day-to-day communication with contractors and executing agencies

The two Resident Engineers must each have at least 20 years of experience in the field of substations or high-voltage transmission lines projects and should have an extensive experience in management of power transmission projects. He/she must have managed assignments similar to the present services, should be proficient in writing and fluent speaking in both English and French languages and must be an electrical engineer.
Adequacy for the assignment
Must have minimum of twenty (20) years of experience in the field of substations and high-voltage transmission lines projects and should have an extensive experience in management of power transmission projects, 7 years of which as project management and construction supervision;
Must have a minimum experience of working on three (3) similar projects (power transmission projects of 220 kV level or above) and as Resident Engineer in one project
