Contracts Manager (Monaco)

Job Title: Contracts Manager 
Location: Monaco
Status: Permanent

- Reports directly to PC Legal Manager;
Manages:
- Shore-base Contract Managers/ Engineers in Brazil, Angola and Rest of World 
Liaises: 
- Internally, primarily with Group Contract Manager
- Externally with Client and Contractors 


Key Job accountabilities 
General coordination and Management:

+ Management of the Contract Department,
- Personnel Planning, organisation and recruitment
- Personnel appraisal and development
- Defining personnel objectives
- Reporting and interaction with management

+ Support and guide Contract Managers and Engineers in the execution of tasks by providing - 
- Guidelines and support
- Defining personnel objectives
- Centralise standard working practices and ensure correct comprehension
- Providing feedback 

+ Application of Group work procedures and instructions 
+ Interface and report with Group Contracts
+ Act as internal client to various Execution Centres
+ Collate lessons learnt from Clients and subcontractors

Client Management:
+ Coordination with Clients including maintaining good relations
- Act as a focal point to ensure consistency 
- Participate in meetings with clients as deemed applicable 
- Support for contract negotiations
- Ensure awareness internally of commercial sensitivities and conditions

+ Either support Legal manager and or perform commercial negotiations with client
- For major change orders
- Claims
- Contract negotiations
- Demobilisations
- Downtime

+ Ensure identified change and claims are catalogued and ensure an update status exists.

+ Manage and ensure consistent commercial approach toward clients throughout PC by 
- Ensuring optimal decision are made vis-a vis clients requirements
- Ensure lease agreements are correctly followed up and catalogued
- Drafting correspondence to clients

+ Ensure collation of fleet data including performance and downtime to proactively manage potential productivity penalties

Main / Sub Contract /.Offshore sub contract Coordination:

+ Ensure consistent and coordinated approach with regard to
- Main contract or client contract provisions
- Standard sub contract application
- Selection of sub-contractors
- Invitation to Tender management 
- Tender evaluation management 

+ Provide support for 
- Contract negotiations
- Major changes and or claims
- Supply Chain coordination 

+ Ensure and verify 
- Timely and optimal management of subcontracts
- Application of procedures

Vessel procurement:
+ Coordinate vessel acquisition, hereunder gather documentation, Liaise with stakeholders and prepare for delivery and closing meeting.

Your profile 
Education:
- University Degrees in Engineering, Economics, Law or Quantity surveying with in excess of 12 years experience in the shipping , offshore industry working as a Contract Manager

Experience:
- Minimum 12 years of experience in all aspects of contract management 
- Broad experience in lease contracts, in executing contract negotiation and claims ;
- Experience of project execution interface;
- Experience within the Oil & Gas industry and or shipping industry

Personal skills:
- Contracting skills (i.e. drafting, negotiation);
- Business planning & organization skills;
- Leadership;
- Fluent English.
