Solutions Consultant for Newbury, UK

Experience: 5 to 10 yrs.
Key accountability and decision ownership 

Responsible for developing, understanding & codifying requirements for all solutions in their designated technology area(s)
Single point of contact for business and customer during requirements capture phase. This constitutes the role of Solution Prime
Creation of solution designs to solve specific customer problems, starting from agreed requirements moving through conceptual and logical to physical designs; Understanding the limits of candidate products / technologies and identifying high level options to overcome in order to fulfil customer business need / fit with Strategy
Ability to understand the customer business requirements and drivers, steer the technical Customer counterparts, transform initial requirements into technical solutions.
Experience of operating at senior management level 
Core competencies, knowledge and experience [max 5]:

5+ Years in Telecom environments within Solution Consulting, network design, Infrastructure or Applications Development, with technical confidence within Networking, telecommunications technologies, Cloud, Contact & Hosting based services
Excellent communications skills with proven experience of working in international technical virtual teams
Track record in identifying, influencing and negotiating with key technical decision makers.
Practical experience over technical Solutions life cycle management, including per-contract sales cycle, technical cost base assessment and business cases realization, with related appreciation of Legal, Commercial and Financial matters
Telecommunication and IT service models and their practical application (e.g. ITIL, eTOM, TOGAF)

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

Very comfortable in working within a multi-disciplined technical environment, proven experience in qualifying and responding to bids which will involve large solutions network designs based on: 
o Hybrid MPLS IPVPN networks (BGP/HSRP resilient architectures including Internet / IPSEC based backups over DSL / 3G / LTE access technologies with APM 
o L1 and L2 networks including large solution designs based on NGEth environments (EVPLS, EVPNs)
o VoIP / IP Telephony environments 
o Security (typically IPSec, VPN, Firewalls), authentication (RADIUS) & Cisco IOS/platform specifications including Cisco Call Manager environments 
Mature, self-starter, able to assess required man-days efforts at the beginning of the solutions lifecycle, with practical knowledge of business metrics (AOV/TCV/MAOV), and confidence in getting activities which will yield high contribution prioritized,
Proven ability of building and coordinate cross-functional technical solution teams and work with a wide variety of colleagues in a virtual and global team environment. 
Cisco Certifications at CCDP and/or CCVP and/or CCNP level or equivalent knowledge and experience.
