SAP DBA Consultant for Uganda

1. Expert knowledge with all DBA activities on Oracle 10G, SAP Technical Installations and configurations, SAP Net weaver based applications etc. 
2. Expert in performance monitoring, system tuning and SAP Buffer management 
3. Proficient in all areas of SAP ECC 6.0 troubleshooting.
4. Technically fluent and proficient in System Copies \ refreshes & client import\exports 
5. Follow procedures and standards regarding Transport and Correction in conjunction with requirements defined by the Change Control Board 
6. Develop and implement backup, patch, note, kernels and upgrade strategies 
7. Perform technical troubleshooting as needed to ensure 24/7 availability of all systems 
8. Develop and implement printer, network, portal, and GUI distribution strategies 
9. Perform rigorous quality checks to ensure efficient use of all SAP hardware, software, operating systems, and databases 
10. To provide SAP Administration support, problem analysis & resolution, Database support in activities related to SAP and other activities required maintaining system integrity and maximizing uptime.
11. To work on client administration i.e. Client Creation, client copy, client export / import etc.
12. To manage the security of SAP / access control i.e. to monitor the authorization of users.
13. To manage the TMS (Transport Management System) / STMS i.e. to transport the request of users.
14. To maintain and manage the SAP router, SAP logs, Short Dumps, Work Processes and lock entries of SAP
15. To perform the Job Scheduling and monitoring.
16. To coordinate with the SAP Consultants to implement the technical changes on time and as needed.
17. Performs oracle database re-organizations as required to assist performance and ensure maximum uptime of the database.
18. To work extensively on all aspects of Oracle database backup/recovery, system restore/refresh and technical troubleshooting.
19. Performs ongoing fine tuning of the Oracle database instances.
20. Plan growth and changes (capacity planning).
21. Perform general technical trouble shooting on Oracle DB and give consultation to development team.

The SAP Basis administrator within the MIS department is responsible for the Administration of the SAP ECC 6.0 and Solution Manager environments. This role includes supporting the Basis strategy around hardware, software, databases, and work collaboratively with the Basis Lead.
