Safety Officer for Kuwait

HSE Department focuses on ensuring the safety of all the companys employees and equipment, its clients property and the protection of the general public. Systems and procedures have been established for implementing the requisites of safety at all stages during the operation of plant and machinery and the handling of materials. 

Reports to - Asst. Superintendent - Safety

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To reduce the cost (human and direct) of site accidents through effective accident prevention, control and safety awareness.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
1. To maintain high levels of on-site safety awareness through the delivery of effective educational and training programmes.
2. To provide a comprehensive on-site HSE administrative support system. 
3. To help maintain effective working relations between the Company, its clients and its sub-contractors.
4. To maintain a safe on-site working environment through the proactive enforcement of safety regulations.
5. To investigate breaches of safety regulations and produce appropriate reports as required by the Company and client procedures.
6. To maintain standards of safety and comply with Companys Occupation Health & Safety Management System requirements.
7. To take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others in the workplace.
8. Follow and maintain Company standards of Quality in accordance with Company Quality System requirements.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential:
A Bachelors of Science (Chemistry/Physics) / Diploma in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering

Skills and Experience: 
Investigation procedures, Report Writing,Observation,Auditing procedures, Fire Fighting, Motivation
7 years related work experience in Oil & Gas
All candidates must have Diploma in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or A Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.

The basic salary range for Safety Officer position and the standard benefits for the position are mentioned below.

Monthly Salary KD 500 (minimum) KD 550 (maximum)

Annual Air Ticket Free economy class two-way air ticket from the work location to the home country once per year for the employee.
Hardship Benefits Company will provide shared room in a shared furnished flat / camp (whichever available) as a Hardship Benefit for the employee working in construction projects (oil & gas).
Medical Insurance Single Status Medical Insurance as per KN policy.
Life Insurance Single Status Life Insurance
Mobilization Benefits (for overseas) a) One way economy class ticket for the employee, and
b) either one half Monthly Salary cash allowance, or 60 kg. excess baggage cost.
Annual Paid Leave As per Kuwait Labor Law (30 days)
Retirement Plan Employee will be enrolled in the Company Retirement Savings Plan with a contribution from your monthly payroll of 1% of your Total Monthly Salary.
Bonus at the discretion of the Management.
