Technical Office Manager for Kuwait

Job Description:
To act as liaison between EPC Contractor/Client / Engineering Department and the project for all technical issues and to coordinate activities of Technical Departments, find solutions to technical problems & to ensure proper execution of all technical works.

Job Responsibilities:
To analyse information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems for the project & client.

Coordinate between the construction and engineering teams ensuring that the construction requirements are conveyed to the engineering teams and that the engineering deliverables satisfy the construction requirements

To quantify the materials required from the drawings and recommend the specifications to procure the materials to prepare the technical documentation required for issuing purchase orders (product/material technical specifications; tests, checks and inspection certificates to be provided, etc.) and to liaise with the client for free issue material

To supervise a team of engineers and draftsmen/ CAD operators and coordinate the work of all disciplines to accomplish tasks and to ensure that all details are included in drawings.

To study and interpret the construction specification and drawings; identify any design problems, conflicts and to resolve the same.

To prepare work packages & construction method statement for execution in line with construction schedule in liaison with Project Controls.

To maintain all documents in an organized manner for easy reference and to prepare the hand over documents at the time of project close out.

To attend progress meetings, discuss and suggest technical proposals 

Take part in the project management review and risk management review

Educational Qualification and Skills required:
A Bachelors Degree in Civil / Structural / Construction Engineering 
Minimum 18 years of work experience in various fields such as design, materials, and construction within Oil and Gas projects itself.
Problem Solving Skills 
Design Engineering
Computer Skills
Familiarity with international codes and excellent understanding of Auto cad or other design software
Conversant with all kinds of civil foundation & structural drawings etc

15+ years experience
