QA/QC Inspector for Galfar, Oman


    Post: Civil QA QC Inspector

    Qualification: Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering

    Location: Oman

    Interpretation of the relevant codes and standards and their associated compliance.
    Review and analyze all Surveillance and Non Conformance Reports (NCR), initiated by QA/QC personnel prior to issuance.
    Ensure that all necessary inspections identified in the approved Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) are attended by appropriate QA/QC personnel.
    Ensure that the quality being offered for inspection meets the project and client's requirements.
    Coordinate with the client's QA/QC representative to ensure all QA/QC activities and documentation meets the required standards.
    Ensure that surveillance activities are continually carried out on the project, recording and documenting any and all associated results.
    Review the calibration status of any test equipment being utilized on the project.
    Provide support and advice to personnel in relation to Project Quality Program and the Company Integrated Management System (IMS).
    Maintain a good working relationship with all company and client personnel across all disciplines.
    Ensure that all necessary documentation is accurately filled and is up to date.
    Attend and participate in all required client and company meetings and workshops.
    Ensure that all project audits are carried out in accordance with the project Audit Schedule and the schedule is maintained.
    Follow up on all audit findings ensuring that appropriate action is taken and reoccurrence is minimized or eliminated.
    Coordinate with the client to obtain approval on the project QA/QC documents and incorporate comments as necessary.
    Continually review the project IMS Program to ensure that all necessary amendments are carried out and the documents are up to date.
    Prepare and submit ITP's, WP's, Method Statements, etc. as required on the project.
    Coordinate the client approval of Kentz QA/QC personnel where required.
    Prepare and issue all necessary weekly and monthly reports.
    Actively promote the use and implementation of the Kentz IMS and other relevant Quality programs.
    Review and monitor QA/QC personnel performance and report findings to Project Manager, and where necessary initiate corrective action and or training to augment their skills.
    Maintain and ensure all project logs are up to date e.g. NCR / Improvement Log, Customer Feedback Log.
    Ensure that follow up is carried out on all open issues pertaining to the IMS and report any open issues to the Project Manager.
    Ensure all quality records are maintained, up-to date, traceable and retrievable.
    Provide adequate on the job training for new QA/QC personnel.
    Carry out all necessary IMS inductions.-
