Account Executive for Nigeria

    Location : Nigeria 

    Roles and Responsibilities 
    Day to day Functions / Operations including (Sales Entries / Customer Ledger / Stock Controls / Deliveries / Receivables / Petty Cash Management / Local Purchases)
    2. Chronological (Weekly/Monthly) Functions including Supplier Payments, Local Purchases, TAX Payments, Salary Disbursements etc,
    3. Monthly Preparations of MIS with Analysis In Relation To Budget, Cost Control, Stocks, Sales, Debtors, Etc all Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Reports.
    4. Preparation of detailed Budget (to be completed two months before the start of the financial year and then reviewed on a quarterly basis with MD) with supporting schedules, NOT based on percentage increases and decreases of previous years
    5. Finalization of Accounts (incl Cashflow / Management Accounts) by the 7th of each Month and within 60 Days of the Year End for the Annual External Audit
    6. Surprise Physical verification of Stock, Reconciliations with ERP stock levels on a monthly basis
    7. Primary Operator of TALLY ERP Package
    8. To train and mentor the subordinate Nigerian workforce in Sales Support & Accounting Teams with active participation as a way to ensure that everyone in the company is working effectively and to their full capability

    The candidate will report to the M.D, work along side the Admin Head, and supervise both the Dealer/Channel Sales Executives as well as the Sales Support Executives. The candidate is free to come up with a team structure in Accounts/Sales Support to improve and ensure best practice

    Internal Liaisons: (Departments like Legal, Finance, etc)

    Admin Head, Storekeeper, Sales Executives, Engineering Head, Sales Head

    External Liaisons: (eg. Suppliers, etc.)

    Suppliers, Bankers, Auditors, Government Agencies (Tax, VAT, Environmental, Standard Organisation of Nigeria), Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, Lawyers, Customers, PR Firms, etc

    0830 to 1800 Monday to Friday, 0900 to 1400 on Saturdays and Select Public Holidays.

    Qualification: BCom or MBA Degree Holder
    No of years experience: 3-5 years in related field, Nigerian Experience Welcome
    Essential experience:
    Past experience (over three years) working in similar function

    Team Player, who is not scared to try something new when he sees old solutions have not worked. A good communicator with an open mind, friendly to colleagues. A cheerful person, not a complainer, someone you want to talk to each day because they full of positive energy about the future, and good at motivating others.
    Core Competencies:
    Should be great at enforcing discipline and motivating people, with a good background in systems (TALLY ERP, document process flows, highly organised, etc), and with sound knowledge of MS Office. An excellent grasp of how to successfully execute his functions, read between the lines numbers, and good English communication skills

    Experience: 10+ to 18 years

    Education Candidate must be BCom or MBA Degree Holder
