Processing Manager for Madagascar

    Job description

    Defining and harmonizing the process routes

    In-process and final testing controls, to secure customer requirements

    Remedial & corrective actions for fabric, in case of discrepancies

    Working and re-defining recipes, considering cost reduction aspect, defining the best and competitive chemicals and dyestuff needs

    Liaising and working closely with the Product Development team to ensure that new developments can be replicated in bulk production

    Risk analysis and management

    Defining and implementation of SOP (Sequence of Procedures)

    Taking the lead on specific projects and managing trials in view of improving industrial performances

    Improvement in organization global competitiveness. 

    1. Trouble Shooting

    Study route cause and provide solution for problems.

    Working with Lab, Processing and stitching to secure problem with remedial actions.

    Secure the new developments.

    2. Product Development

    Work with product development team for introduction of secure route for development.

    Working with development team to introduce new finishes for French & South African Markets.

    Major working partners: Bershka, Camaeu, Cape Union Mart, Decathlon, Edgars, Marks & Spencer, Orchestra, Truworths, Woolworths, Zara.

    3. Processing Research & Development

    Cost Reduction by introduction of economical options.

    Secure the goods after every individual process by working on process scheme.

    Work on machine parameters to avoid deviation in results.

    4. Finishing Testing Lab Control

    Compliance to customer specs as per defined protocols and conditions.

    Remedial and Corrective actions for out of spec. fabric.

    Control on parameters of testing to minimize deviations.

    Technical sheet generation for new products.

    Control and monitoring integration approvals.

    Experience (Pre-requisite)

    o Minimum 5 years.

    o Must be aware about woven fabric processing and yarn dyeing relationship.

    o Have good experience of dyeing techniques with 100% cotton, Cotton blends, Polyester/cotton blends, viscose, Linen and Tencel.

    o Technical textile awareness, both mechanical and chemical.

    o Awareness about modernization. Have potential to implement new 
    techniques and changes as per requirement of global competitiveness.

    o Awareness about quality system. 

    o Awareness about CQI (Continuous quality Improvement)

    Other (Optional)

    o Trainings on textile related sectors.

    o Experience of machine installation and commissioning.

    o Any additional training like CQI or TQM.
