Designation offered :- CNC Machinist

Position reports to :- Charge Hand

Department :- Machine Shop


Purpose of Position:
1. Carry out the jobs as per the specifications required in a safe and efficient manner
2. Read and understand component dimensional drawings, sketches, specifications given by Department Head or other authorized remarks.
3. Carry out the jobs in the tolerances/specifications required and should be able to use precision measuring instruments like micrometer, Vernier caliper and Bore Gauges for initial quality checks and full dimensional inspection of the jobs carried out.
4. Maintain the machine in good working condition as described in the Operators Manual by daily checking the machine for lubrication oil level, hydraulic oil level, coolants etc.
5. Trouble shooting machine problems and reporting the same to Department Head for further action.
6. Improve productivity and produce quality jobs with zero defects
7. Aware of importance of machine guards and their locations, use of proper PPE to be worn (particularly for eye protection) while engaged in machining activity.
8. Programmed various operations to the Job/Drawing requirements.
9. Treat safety as number one priority at all times and participate in STOP programmer.
