Hardware & Network Engineer for Contec Global Group, Equatorial Guinea

Roles and Responsibilities

• Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
• Knowledge of transmission, broadcasting, switching, control, and operation of telecommunications systems.
• Responsible for testing computer hardware, including computer systems, circuit boards, computer chips, keyboards, routers, and printers.
• Supervises the manufacturing, production, and installation of the parts.
• Testing hardware prototypes and analysing and interpreting performance data.
• Generating analytic and performance reports for presentation and revision.
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing errors and suggesting suitable repairs or modifications.
• Implementing maintenance, repairs, and modifications to existing components.
• Keeping up to date with the latest advancements in computer technology and design trends.
• Being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations.
• Willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges.
• Developing one's own ways of doing things, guiding oneself with little or no supervision, and depending on oneself to get things done.
• Willingness to lead, take charge, and offer opinions and direction.
• Test and re-test parts to ensure they work properly.
• Identify and isolate defects.
• Test circuits and other electronic components.
• Analyse information and recommend appropriate hardware to users.
• Specify power supply requirements and configuration.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

• ITI or Diploma, Bachelors degree in Electronics or related field of study with a network engineering focus.
• Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions.
• Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Dependable and flexible when necessary.
• Good understanding of software languages and integration processes.
• Exceptional attention to detail and precision.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to stay up to date with the latest advancements in technology and design.
