Massage Therapist and Ayurveda Doctor for Australia (FREE Vacancy)

Recruiting for the position of an Ayurveda Massage Therapist and Ayurveda Doctor for Ananda Wellness Retreat, NSW, Australia. Position requires a candidate to migrate from India to Australia.

Ayurveda Massage Therapist

Role & Responsibilities:

• Provide massage services to guests using props and/or products.
• Provide body treatments to guests using body scrubs, wraps, and/or hydrotherapy.
• Assess guest needs and inquire about contraindications (e.g., allergies, high blood pressure, and pregnancy) before beginning service.
• Keep up to date with current techniques and modalities related to their field of work.
• Escort guests to and from treatment rooms.
• Arrange workstation, treatment room, and/or drapes.
• Frequently check with guest to promote comfort, safety and security throughout service.
• Promote and sell spa/salon services including retail offerings related to the Spa.
• Clean, maintain, and sterilize tools.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstation and/or treatment room throughout shift, dispose of trash and dirty linens, and secure supplies and equipment at the end of each shift.
• Monitor and stick to time schedule throughout the day.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Excellent Knowledge On Ayurveda Treatment
• Candidates Who Are M.D. Panchakarma Would Be an Additional Advantage
• Experience in Pure Ayurveda Practices.
• Knowledge of Panchakarma.
• The Candidate Should Have a Registration Certificate
• Minimum Experience: 3 Years

Mandatory Requirement:

• Have the required level of English proficiency i.e. hold a valid passport issued by the UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, or the Republic of Ireland (and you are a citizen of that country) OR
• an IELTS test score of at least 5 in EACH test component OR
• an OET test score of at least B in EACH test component OR
• a TOEFL iBT overall test score of at least 35 (with a minimum of 4 for listening, 4 for reading, 14 for writing and 14 for speaking) OR
• a PTE test score of at least 36 in EACH test component OR
• a CAE test score of at least 154 in EACH test component
• NOTE: In each case, the test must have been undertaken within the last three years.

You are exempt from this requirement if you have completed at least five years of full-time study in a secondary or higher education institution where all instruction was conducted in English. Other exemptions also apply to a limited set of applicants.

Ayurveda Doctor

Role & Responsibilities:

• Examining and talking to patients to diagnose their medical condition
• Management of medical/health problems presented by patients
• Working cohesively with the team at the center comprising nutritionists and center manager to achieve monthly center targets
• Patient/client consultation: Check BP, pulse and do the Prakriti analysis
• History taking, diagnosis, investigation recommendations, planning herbs
• Preparation of suitable plans for the patient as per his/her condition
• Advising patient/client how to take appropriate herbs and advising lifestyle changes for management of weight and medical condition
• Patient health monitoring: Regular follow-up with patient/client to review progress and health
• Review impact of plan on weight and overall health of client. Make appropriate modifications in plan accordingly
• Documenting and keeping record of treatment. Apprising other team members of the same.
• Counselling the client as a mentor to continuously educate on how to improve health
• Consulting senior technical team member for clarifications and changes in plans
• Participate in ongoing trainings to upgrade knowledge base and skills

Desired Candidate Profile:

• BAMS and/or higher from reputed institute/university
• Minimum experience: 2 Years
• Keen diagnostic ability and managing medical complexities
• In-depth knowledge of herbs and Ayurvedic remedies
• Strong clinical experience. Resolving customer queries. To achieve the monthly individual targets
• Strong communication, convincing and counselling skills
• Decision-making, competently handling patient queries and proactively addressing challenges
