- Responsibilities:
- To provide support on network administration, hardware/software installation, maintenance & implementation of servers, SAN/NAS storage, LAN/WAN/VPN network infrastructure and upkeep of Data Centres.
- To provide Network and security related deployment and implementation projects.
- Responsible for installation, maintenance and supports
- Setup of all network equipment (switches, routers, firewalls & etc.)
- Handle project in Systems integration, migration and upgrade.
- Maintaining leadership-level knowledge in respective technology field.
- Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications.
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
- Troubleshooting in hardware and software and maintaining.
- Provide set-up support, maintenance and troubleshooting for the IT infrastructure and servers in the company as well as provide local IT, LAN and WAN network support.
- Provide support and troubleshooting of hardware and software problems to the end-users, maintaining centrally defined guidelines and rules.
- Ensure that problems are escalated in accordance with established procedures and handles escalated projects or issues as assigned.
- Work closely with the IT Manager to propose, define and monitor implementation of the teams plans and objectives, in line with the departmental strategy.
- Perform IT project deployments and execution thereof.
- Maintain positive infrastructure applications service delivery trends, correct as needed and propose refined metrics to establish continuous improvement.
- Review, create and maintain system configuration and maintenance procedures documentation.
- Actively monitor and resolved issue promptly.
- Be a key point of reference in relation to technical issues for the site.
- Positive working attitude must be willing to adapt and develop oneself
- Able to work independently and be a good team player
- At least Diploma/Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
- Experience working in Linux Operating System environment
- Experience in monitoring, tuning and troubleshooting complex networks
- Experience in managing virtualization platforms such as XenServer will have added advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Applicants should be Malaysian citizens or hold relevant residence status.
- At least 2 year of working experience in the related field is required for this position
- Willing to travel
- Demonstrated work experience in an IT Support/Service environment and/or a computer division.
- Strong Technical background.
