- Responsibilities:-
Charting several safety measures for minimizing occurrence of accidents, fires and calamities.
Foreseeing safety performance bottlenecks and taking corrective measures to avoid the same.
Fire prevention management & disaster (due to fire, leakage & explosion etc.) control management system through mock drills.
Coordinating with the medical department for the periodical medical check ups and other occupational health related activities.
Investigating accidents or insentient and taking corrective or preventive measures for achieving zero accidents.
Imparting induction or refresher safety trading to employees and contractor workers.
Factory license, Explosive license renewal.
Correspondence with Health and Safety and Pollution Authorities.
Imparting training to employees and awareness campaign.
Preparation of On Site Emergency Plan and periodical safety audits.
Coordination or Liaisoning:-
Liaison with statutory and regulatory bodies for renewal of licenses obtaining clearances, consents and authorization for executing various expansion and modernization projects and also in connection to compliance with statutory or legal requirements.
Coordinating with external surveillance auditors for initiating relevant actions in case of non-compliance of specified norms.
Maintenance, Breakdown & Preventive Safety Equipment
Break down & preventive maintenance of utility equipments and light or heavy duty motor transportation vehicles. Besides, handling of workshop cum machine shop pertain to the maintenance jobs.
OHSAS 18001 or ISO 14001.
Ensuring strict adherence to OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001 systems & procedures and maintaining all relevant documents.
Formulating or Implementing safety systems, fire prevention or protection & control and managing overall safety operations of the plant.
Coordinating with environment department for monitoring the level of air, noise & water pollution and initiating need based measures in case they supersede the pre-set parameters.
Participating in safety audits and training the staff members & operators for the audits.
Candidates should be any graduate with Diploma in Industrial Safety (Regular). Candidate should have knowledge of (First Aid).
