Mechanical Shift Manager - Cable Manufacturing
- Fault finding during production.
Performing planned and predictive maintenance.
Assessing need of spare parts.
Ensure that resources are used to optimum effect.
Understand and operate in line with relevant legislation, company policy and company procedures.
Complete and maintain accurate, timely documentation and records as required by the business.
Maintain the required standards of housekeeping.
Support other teams and functions as required by the business.
Undertake any other tasks or duties as required by your line manager.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and practices operated by the Company.
Liaise with Coordinator to establish requirements.
Conforming to health and safety procedures and policies.
- Candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance with wire & cable manufacturing industry.
Should have knowledge of machines used in cable manufacturing.
Demonstrates the ability of being able to maintain and improve effective working practices, use of facilities and materials etc.
Must be ready to relocate at Uganda.

- Plan work flow, manage multiple priorities and meet daily production target while competently reducing downtime.
Assessing project and resources requirements.
Estimating, negotiating and agreeing budgets and timescales with clients and managers.
Establish and maintain acceptable quality levels for all assigned products.
Overseeing production processes.
Re-negotiating timescales or schedules as necessary.
Selecting, ordering and purchasing materials.
Organising the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment.
Liaison with buyers, marketing and sales staff.
Supervising the work of junior staff.
- Candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in production with cable manufacturing industry.
Should have knowledge of LV cable, HV cable, flexible cables.
Should have knowledge of machines & production processes of cable manufacturing.
Must be ready to relocate at Uganda.
