A well reputed company in OMAN is looking out for Contracts Manager, Project Managers & Project Engineers having experience in carrying out large projects of Fire & Security Systems installation.
Job Description:-
1. Project Manager
(Mechanical Engineer having Computer Literacy) with 10/12 years of experience in installation work with knowledge in the complete range of Fire protection Systems and Equipment. Person need to have quality to lead the project site team with independent decision making ability & reporting skill. Vacancy is for handling multiple project sites & responsibility includes preparation of bar chart, MAS, shop drawings, preparation and certification of bills; attending site meetings & maintaining good relation with Contractors, Consultants & client. Having GCC driving license will be preferred.
2. Project Engineer
(Mechanical Engineer having Computer Literacy) with 5/6 years of experience in installation work with knowledge in the complete range of Fire protection Systems and Equipment. Person requires skill to lead the project site team, with independent decision making ability & reporting skill. Vacancy is for site posting & responsibility includes preparation of bar chart, MAS, Shop Drawings, Certification of Bills, attending site meetings & maintaining relation with Contractors, Consultants & client. Having GCC driving license will be preferred

JOB DESCRIPTION
Qualification Degree or HND qualification in Quantity Surveying.
Note Those with other related qualification (eg. Engineering) will be considered providing their postgrad training/experience is of the right type and calibre.
Postgraduate Experience
Generally about 20 years but less experience will be considered if the candidate has a suitable profile.
Training
Solid Background in QS/Contracts. The candidates history must demonstrate career progression within the field. Generally it will be preferable if the candidates initial training took place in a region with established QS practices such as:
United Kingdom - Republic of Ireland Australia - South Africa - New Zealand Canada Singapore - Hong Kong - Malaysia
Previous Employers
Preferably significant experience with Contractors rather than PQS or Client. Those with insufficient contracting experience will not be considered.
Project History
Preferably large civil projects : Roads, Bridges, Railway, Airports etc. Experience in petrochem or petrochem-related projects would be an advantage.
Overseas
Overseas experience required. Preferably experience in the middle-east / gulf area ideally in KSA. Previous experience in a remote location will be a significant advantage.
Generally
The candidate as a minimum must have experience/knowledge of the following:
Preparation of monthly reports on the Project commercial/contract position including CVRs
Procurement and Subcontract formation / negotiation
Subcontract Administration
Main Contract Administration
Variation Identification / Pursuit / Negotiation
Claim Protecting the companys interest under the contract by identifying opportunities pro-actively ensuring compliance with contract claim requirements.
Protecting the company against claims from subcontractors
Managing a project commercial/contracts team to ensure the above goals are achieved in accordance with project & programmes requirements.
