Position - Safety Engineer
Job Purpose
• The main purpose of the Safety Engineer‘s job is to ensure compliance with set safety and environmental policies and procedures
Principal Accountabilities
• Implements project Safety & Emergency Plan/Program
• Conducts HSE orientation to new employees on projects
• Reviews method statements input
• Ensures HSE compliance during site set up
• Conducts Safety toolbox meetings, and HSE awareness sessions and training
• Investigates incidents, conducts root cause analysis and corrective & preventive actions
• Conducts site emergency drills
• Conducts Hazard Identification, risk assessment and recommends the controls to mitigate the hazards
• Reviews Material Safety data sheets
• Ensures material handling and storage is conducted in an approved manner
• Prepares Project Lesson Learnt reports relating to HSE
• Conducts planned inspection, identifying potential hazards and ensuring controls are in place
• Prepares traffic plan at the site
• Monitors waste management and ensure disposal as per safety plan
• Issues work permits for hazardous jobs at the site if required
• Conduct HSE audits and analyze the trends
• Performs other duties as required
• Manages the performance of all their team members, irrespective of the structure below them
Communications and Working Relationships
• Reports directly to and supports the Senior Safety Engineer on all safety issues
• Interacts with Operations during inspections, training sessions, and audits
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
• Bachelor in Engineering; relevant certificates
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communications skills
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in QSE in a comparable sized operation to ESEC
• Experience in the Middle East is a strong plus
• Excellent writing and IT skills
• Fluent in English and preferably Arabic language

• Physically Fit
Candidate should have experience in inspection work of MEP/ high rise building. Gulf experience must. You may who is willing to attained F2F interview.
Salary- Negotiable
