BRAND MANAGER - COSMETICS


The purpose of the Brand Manager is to support and strengthen the overall brand positioning by identifying and developing the correct Brand mix for Pharmacies. He / she is responsible for improving organic growth and profitability in pharmacies by harnessing customer insights and channelling the same into overall product mix, new product introduction ideas, merchandising and pricing decisions.

KEY ACCOUNT ABILITIES:

•Develop an innovative product strategy and implementation roadmap to maximize revenue, market share and profitability.
•Drive cost-savings through accurate sales and purchase forecasting and effective inventory management.
•Develop relationship management plans with key suppliers to optimize commercial benefits and opportunities (marketing investment, rebates, front margins, listing fees, etc.).
•Expiry management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Liaise with Commercial & Business Development Director to define product range and Brand mix.
• Support the development of the budget for commercial function.
• Collaborate with Marketing team to conduct marketing research and harness insights available within the business. Channel the insights into new growth ideas.
• Discuss new growth ideas with Commercial and Business Development Director and support him / her in getting a buy in from the Operations Director and the respective Country Managers.
• Visit pharmacies, key customers and attend relevant conferences and exhibitions to secure new ideas and build new relationships.
• Analyse sales of new products, agencies introduced into the business and monitor the inventory levels and assess any risk of write offs. Proactively highlight any risks to the Commercial and Business Development Director and develop plans to mitigate these risks.
• Conduct periodic SWOT analysis for each retail location to gather and analyse sources of profit, high-demand products, competitive positioning, and other such market intelligence. Make appropriate recommendations / adjustments to ensure that products conform with market trends and retain their competitive advantage.
• Analyse historical trends in sales to effectively identify market / customer requirements and develop accurate product purchasing forecasts. Determine products to be ordered per forecasts.
• Determine a competitive product pricing strategy, taking into account competitor landscape, market trends, consumer behaviour, profit margin targets and product development costs.
• Work with Marketing to execute impactful brand development, advertising and promotional initiatives (product launches, vouchers, and other such offerings).
• Manage layout, shelf-spacing, product positioning and arrangement within the pharmacies to ensure efficient, impactful and productive utilization of space and product display.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE :

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or relevant field from an accredited college / university.
• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in brand and / or retail management, with extensive knowledge in product development.

BEAUTY CATEGORY MANAGER AND AREA SUPERVISOR

The purpose of the Category Manager is to support and strengthen the overall brand positioning by identifying and developing the correct category mix for Pharmacies. He / she is responsible for improving organic growth and profitability in pharmacies by harnessing customer insights and channelling the same into overall product mix, new product introduction ideas and merchandising.

The Area Supervisor’s role is to drive higher sales through best in class service to customers. The role-holder monitors customer service levels at pharmacies under his/her supervision, obtain feedback from customers and pharmacists and ensures that appropriate actions are taken by relevant departments. The role holder maintains a high level of motivation amongst his/her team of pharmacists, measures their performance and ensures proper reward and recognition for their service.

KEY ACCOUNT ABILITIES :

The role holder is responsible for creating a unique and differentiated brand identity, develop a marketing strategy and create new avenues for growth through innovation. He / she will harness customer insights available within the business (through pharmacists, commercial team and sales team) and leverage on research programs to strengthen core brand message and create ideas for innovation.

KEY ACCOUNT ABILITIES :

•Assume overall ownership of all the Planet Pharmacies’ retail and wholesale brands. Assess strengths and weaknesses of each brand and based on market insights create a unique value proposition and differentiated brand identity.
•Create a marketing strategy for all businesses that is based on insights available within the business and through cost effective use of market research.
•Drive growth through innovation by creating ideas for company products, service delivery, etc.
•Develop practical and implementable advertising and promotion plans in consultation with the Operations Director and relevant Country Managers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

•Develop an annual marketing budget for all business segments and geographies. Discuss these budgets and plans with each country manager, relevant division head (retail / wholesale) and get buy in prior to finalizing budgets.
•Visit pharmacies and key customers in all geographies to get hands on experience and understanding of the business and customer requirements. Set up channels of communication with pharmacists, area managers, sales managers to collect insights about customer behaviour and performance of key products / brands.
•Conduct market research to verify hypothesis or create new insights about customer requirements. Discuss results with relevant country or division head.
•Conduct on going trend analysis in the health sector and competitor landscape and map it to Planet Pharmacy’s market position.
•Develop strong relations with internal (pharmacists, sales team, country and business managers) and external stakeholders (advertisers, PR agencies, customers etc.) to secure their participation and support for all marketing activities.
•Manage the design and production of promotional materials that effectively convey Planet Pharmacy’s position and unique selling points to target audience and markets.
•Develop Media Strategy for Planet Pharmacy:-Identify, evaluate and select specific media, social networking and PR channels that will effectively promote and market the Planet Pharmacy brand and products.
•Manage, motivate and develop team members (through training) to ensure they have necessary knowledge and skills. Establish targets, objectives, KPIs and other measurable criteria to monitor the performance of the Marketing team.
•Measure and report success of advertising and promotion activities in terms of increased brand awareness, right brand associations, increased footfalls, higher average transaction value, market share, increased category share etc. Share these results with Director – Operations and Country Managers and devise ways to improve performance.
•Design and maintain Customer Database including customer profiles and preferences across various customer and market segments.
•Consolidate “Customer Satisfaction Survey” for UAE, KSA and Oman and roll out Relationship Management initiatives around the common themes in consultation with Country Managers and Sales Teams.
•Design and implement a new retail concept to improve the look and feel of retail outlets and thereby enhance customer’s shopping experience.

•Bachelor’s degree related to healthcare or marketing. MBA in Sales & Marketing would be preferred.

• Manage all the events and try to maximize the number of events with the support of the suppliers to cover the expenses.
• Manage all the campaigns in the 3 countries with the support of the suppliers to cover the expenses. (Car Raffle Campaign)
• Put the marketing budget and plan for UAE with provide 2017’s Calendar for all campaigns, events and activities with effective implementation of marketing activities as defined by the marketing calendar.
• Prepare forecast before any campaign and make sales analysis every 10 days to check the performance of the campaign if it’s matching with the forecast or not.
• Adhere to the marketing budget and to the marketing plan.
• Keep stake holders abreast of completed activities and ROI.
• Lead and motivate team when required to ensure effective communication of marketing activities.
• Prepare customized marketing plan for each pharmacy in UAE, KSA and Oman.
