- Chief Mechanic shall have an associate diploma in mechanical engineering technology
- Ten (10) years' experience or high school diploma and fifteen (15) years' experience.
- At least five (5) years' experience in the scheduling of maintenance for large equipment fleets including keeping up-to-date lists of pertinent data on individual pieces of equipment
- Maintaining current applicable equipment materials; preparation of checklist for various levels of preventive maintenance; estimating manhours required for carrying out preventive and breakdown maintenance; setting up and administering monthly schedules of garage work; controlling shop repair orders; maintaining equipment history files; and the issue and checking of equipment for operational purposes.
- He shall also have had ten (10) years' experience as a 'hands-on ' mechanic
