Senior Transport Specialists: Institutional and Policy Development
- The candidate shall be a Transport Specialist with a post-graduate degree in (i) Transport Planning or Engineering, (ii) transport economics, or equivalent of (i), and (ii) with a minimum of twenty (20) years of post-graduate professional experience, of which a minimum of ten (10) years should be in Africa.
- S/He must have at least ten (10) years of experience in institutional development and strengthen, governance and capacity building, and strategic planning, the proposal of learning systems.
- Having active participation in proposing operational strategy, legal framework, institutional and operational structures, operational systems and guidelines (technical, financial, human resources, etc. the process and implementation plan and schedule) to facilitate sustainable institutional development, financing, and management.
- Additionally, having direct involvement in managing technical, economical, and institutional issues related to road transport planning and appraisal will be an added advantage.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and the ability to communicate freely and easily is essential
Environmental and Social Management Officers
- The candidate must have post graduate qualification in Environmental and Social Management with a minimum of ten (10) years post qualification experience.
- S/He should have worked in the road sector with sufficient experience in handling the environmental and social issues that arises out of project implementation.
- Demonstrable skills in environmental management and resettlement action plans in at least three projects in Africa region are required.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential
Highway / Road Design Engineer
- The candidate must have to a graduate degree in Highway, Traffic or Transportation engineering or its equivalent with at least ten (10) years of post-graduate experience in the design, development, construction, supervision of highway infrastructures and facilities, and road maintenance management.
- S/He should have at least eight (08) years' experience in road design works.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential
Technical Officers
- Each of the Technical Officers shall possess a basic qualification equivalent to a graduate degree and or National Diploma in various specialties and or in Civil Engineering.
- S/He shall be required to have a minimum of five (5) years post qualification experience in their various fields.
- Should have at least eight (8) years' experience in bridge design works.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential
Bridge / Structural Engineer
Job Description:
- The candidate shall be with a graduate degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Bridge) and preferably a Registered Engineer with a minimum of ten (10) years' post-qualification experience supervising design and construction of bridges and flood protection.
Senior Surveyor:
Job Description:
- The candidate must have graduate degree in surveying or civil engineering or its equivalent with at least ten (10) years of post-graduate experience in the survey, design and supervision of highway infrastructures and facilities.
- S/He should have at least eight (08) years' experience in road survey and design works.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential
Materials / Pavement Engineer
- S/He shall be with a graduate degree in Civil Engineering and preferably a Registered Engineer with a minimum of twelve (12) years' post-qualification experience and shall have handled at least three (3) similar road material / pavement design assignments within the last eight (8) years at the same position or similar.
- S/He should preferably know about materials/pavement design technology suitable for different types of soil and with particular experience of paved road upgrading construction and maintenance in the region.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential.
Assistant Project Manager's Representative / Contracts Engineer
- S/He shall be with a graduate degree in Civil Engineering meeting the qualification for the Project Manager's Representative and preferably a Chartered Engineer with a minimum of fifteen (15) years' post-qualification experience and shall have handled at least five (5) similar roads assignments within the last 10 years at the same position or similar.
- S/He shall have demonstrable skills in roads and bridges design and construction quantities, administration of an EPC contract and in the Claim documentation and administration.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential.
