Position : Unix Administrator
Experience:5-7 Year.
Must Have Certification Sun Solaris Certified Professional

1 Year Contract(Extended) after 1 Year+ 2 weeks Hotel accomodations with company

Minimum 5 to 7 years experience
Sun Solaris Certified professional
Experience in Installation, configuration, upgradation and administration of various Sun high End/Midrange servers like Sun Enterprises M Series, Sun fire X series, Tseries,v880,v440,v250 servers, Tape Libraries like Sun Storage Tek SL500 , LTO5 , LTO4
Creating RAID groups, binding LUNs, creating Meta LUNs, creating Storage Groups, Access Logic, and Registering hosts. Configuring initial ALOM, ILOM network interface for sun servers
Diagnosing hardware faults and raise call log to Sun in case of any hardware failure, send support error/event logs and follow up the call to replace the faulty.
Replacing the faulty parts in all sun servers like Hard disk, memory bank, power supply etc.
Configure the Root Mirror using Solaris volume manager and break the SVM & replaced the Failed hard Disk from the server.
Setting up Zones, sun clusters and Administering failover switching between nodes.
Collecting Explorer output for any OS & hardware related critical issues & escalate to Oracle.
Gathering San Environment Information (Storage Arrays, Fiber Switches and host) of the client.
Configuring and maintaining SAN storage environments (EMC etc.,) utilizing fiber technologies and iSCSI. Configuring NFS and AutoFS. Creating ZFS File systems and Snap Shot.
Proficient in Backup / recovery procedures all Solaris servers. Implementing Disaster Recovery procedures and testing.
Upgrading, Patching and applying security updates on all solaris servers, VMs and LDOMS as per schedule.
Implementation of SOLARIS OS security standards on all unix servers and VMs. Configuring Solaris OS Auditing.
Experience in installing, configuring and administering Backup technologies such as Symantec NetBackup.
Experience in Storage technologies such as EMC VNX, UNITY etc.,
