Head - Planning and Monitoring


Head - Planning and Monitoring will be coordinating with the Site Mechanical In charges at the project level and will be responsible for Sub-assembly planning and life monitoring, maintenance monitoring and condition based monitoring for all the HEMM Equipment. The incumbent will also be responsible for monitoring the equipment health and performance as well as manage the backlogs and audit for the HEMM Equipment.



Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for sub-assembly planning, monitoring and forecasting for all projects.
  • Responsible for sub-assembly reusability checks for all the HEMM Equipment.
  • Responsible for the lifecycle monitoring and condition based monitoring for the sub-assembly of all the equipment.
  • Develop and devise procedures for arranging the assembly parts in float for the running equipment.
  • Responsible for lifecycle monitoring of undercarriage and tyres.
  • Planning and implementing preventive and diagnostic maintenance schedules of the equipment and its components to increase machine up time and equipment reliability.
  • Analyse the Equipment Matrix report and track and monitor SOS reports for all equipment.
  • Monitor and analyse the lube consumption for all the equipment.
  • Analyse, Monitor and review all the backlogs for the equipment.
  • Proactively conduct audits for all the equipment and suggest corrective actions to senior management.
  • Monitor the consumables and fast moving spares for all the equipment.
  • Coordinating purchase/ material/ spare parts planning related activities encompassing negotiation, identification of vendors, requirement specification & offer evaluation.


Desired Candidate Profile



Degree /Diploma in Mechanical Engineering; Leadership with ability to supervise and motivate a team; high degree of integrity and honesty in all dealings; Capable to groom successors; proven ability in storage, maintenance and use of plant and equipment on a loss-preventative basis; Drive to achieve the targets. Excellent analytical, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills; demonstrable deadline/time management and task management skill



Knowledge and Experience


  • Minimum work experience of 15+ years of which at least 05 years in resource planning, monitoring, tracking and maintenance of equipment in the mining companies.
  • Should have Maintenance Management for Large scale Equipment like Liebherr R996/9350/9100/9200, Hitachi Ex5500/3600/2600, Komatsu PC2000/PC1250, Komatsu 730E/HD1500/HD785/HD465 Dump Trucks , CAT 785C/777D/773E Dump trucks , Track Dozers Komatsu D375/D275/D155/D85 & CATD10R/D9R.
  • Should have knowledge on spare parts management and inventory planning and control.
  • Should have knowledge on the condition based monitoring and life cycle monitoring of equipment.
  • Should have previous experience on SOS sampling and lube consumption analysis.
  • Should have previous experience in equipment auditing and analysis equipment backlogs



Head - Coordination


Head - Coordination will be responsible for coordinating with the Site Mechanical In charges and analyse reports in regard to the critical breakdown and component overhauling of all the HEMM equipment. The incumbent will also plan and maintain an inventory of the spare parts and make proper decisions so as to alleviate the critical breakdown of the running equipment without disrupting the production planned at the project level.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Regularly monitor and review with the Site Maintenance In charges on all the HEMM Equipment that are under critical breakdown maintenance.
  • Plan and coordinate with the Section In charges at the Workshop that require major overhauling of the components.
  • Analyse the equipment availability and Monitor the MTBF & MTTR of critical equipment and ensure the preventive maintenance done as per the plan.
  • Monitor daily MIS report on the equipment utilization and the production data for all projects.
  • Track the purchase requisition and purchase order for all the spare parts required during critical breakdown maintenance and ensure that the spares are available on time to all the sites.
  • Prepare a monthly performance review for all the equipment and present it to senior management.
  • Review the parts comparison sheet containing the quantity, vendor details and their pricing for the components before sending it for approval.
  • Ensure the availability of critical spares, developing local vendors for spares, finalizing contracts making and monitoring KPI
