Looking for Design Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical) for Afghanistan - Power Transmission Project
Have a degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
Have preferably 10 years of experience working in development of transmission lines, substations and grid systems, prefer transmission line sector.
Experience in Africa and sub-Sahara environment are desired.
Review engineering designs works necessary to implement the projects, and, based on the results of detailed design undertaken by the turnkey contractor but not limited to the following:
- Detailed survey and establishing route alignment of whole route.
- Plan & profile drawings, tower spotting and tower lists etc.
- Surveying of tower sites, tower staking and establishing correct locations of footings
- Tower Design Calculation for 230kV and 132kV Towers including Stub & Stub Template
- Shop & Erection Drawing of 230kV and 132kV Stub & Stub Template
- Steel Structure Design of 230kV and 132kV Substation equipment.
- Tower Test Procedure & factory acceptance tests, Report
- General Sag & Tension and Calculation of Actual Sag & Tension
- Testing and commissioning of the aforesaid Transmission Line.
- Any other item which is not included here but it is necessary for integrated operation of the Transmission Lines.
Review technical specification of transmission lines, including towers, conductors, insulators, ground wires, etc. in accordance with relevant technical standards, prepare engineering designs and technical specification of projects in accordance with relevant technical standards.
Provide on the job training (OJT) to counterpart engineer on field of expertise.
