Senior Accountant for APPCO Pharmaceuticals (USA)

Experience: 10 to 15 yrs. 

Medcore Pharma & APPCO Pharmaceuticals focused on developing, manufacturing and distributing generic prescription pharmaceutical products in multi-product oral dosage forms, Semi-Solids and Injectables  to customers throughout the United States. We are seeking a talented individual to join our Group at New Jersey and India Locations  

Job Description:
  • Familier with US GAAP priciples & guidelines.
  • Prepare & Review journal entries in conjunction with the monthly closing
  • Prepare & Review monthly reconciliations
  • Updating and maintaining corporate records
  • Preparing reports for management
  • Responding to inquiries from operations analysts
  • Supervise and review staff  accountant duties
  • Strong knowledge of key business and financial processes including A/P, A/R, Financial Statement Close and Cash Management processes of industry
Accounts Payable & Account Receivable:
  •  Enter all bills in a timely manner for accurate cash flow projections
  • Ensure accurate classification of expenses using the appropriate expense accounts Capture all expenses and record in accounting software
  • Receive customer payments Generate and send invoices
  • Generate A/R aging reports & collect past-due customer debts
  • Deposit checks at bank and Record bank deposits Bank Reconcilation and Reconcilation of all ledgers MIS reporting
Taxes:
  • Record use tax journal entries for all tax-free purchases made for internal use
  • File and pay monthly sales tax on time
  • Provide records to CPA for annual corporate property tax & income tax returns.
Payroll:
  •  Preparing Time Sheets, Process Payroll
  • Knowldege of prepring payroll thru reputed onoline payroll system like paychex or ADP
  • Coordinate with payroll service to ensure timely filing and payment of taxes (SUTA, FUTA, SIT, FIT, FICA)
  • Coordinate with payroll service to ensure accurate withholding information (e.g. AFLAC, child support)
Warehouse:
  • Regular Stock Audits
  • Guide Warehouse persons to maintain stocks in FIFO & LIFO Methods based on nature of products.
Preferred:
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry. 
  • Masters degree in Accountanty / Business Administration with Finance in addition to a CPA or equallant Certifcation.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and softwares like Quickbooks/integrated accounting systems.
  • Good understanding with proven track record with knowledge of International business , Imports & exports permits, duties & fees.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office skills
