Urgently required for a leading Korean Engineering & Construction Company involved with Steel & Industrial Plant Projects in Saudi Arabia.
JOB SUMMARY : The Safety Officer will be responsible for serving as the field point of contact for monitoring and maintaining construction works compliance with safety regulations.
RESPONSIBILITY:
-Implements safety Program initiatives in compliance with the project safety plan and Local Authorities regulation and guidelines.
-Monitor policies, procedures, programs, standards and design criteria affecting construction safety on construction sites.
-Determine cause of unsafe condition through procedure review, equipment and facilities inspection, and worker observation with corrective action recommendations provided.
-Assist the management within meeting established safety and risk management goals and objectives.
-Implements a site safety induction program for site personnel and visitors.
-Review and oversee procedures for investigating construction accidents, take photos and establish the root cause.
-Collect and analyze injury, claim, and safety survey statistical data to write technical reports and makes presentations to Contractors and Program Management regarding Contractor performance.
-Constantly patrol the site to coordinate safety aspects on site.
-Assist in preparing safety section of progress reports.
-Attend progress meeting and other management meeting as required.
-Conducts safety meetings, attend tool box talks, site safety audits; walk through jointly with the Contractor to review site conditions.
-Propose solutions and monitor that the actions are carried out.
-Coordinate with external Parties as required regarding Health and Safety issues.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree, NEBOSH and/or OSHA
Minimum 10 years of Experience
