Chief Sales & Marketing Officer (Kenya)

Experience: 8 to 13 yrs.

Primary responsibility would be to;
- Develop and grow the range of products supporting GPS and GPRS services on the GSM Platform.
- Responsible for the development of product plans for the above and the coordination of product lines through the entire product life cycle in order to maximize revenues.

Responsibilities cover;
- Direct & Online Marketing (Web-Presence)
- Consumer and Segment propositions
- Identification of value added services and solutions.
- Ensure that the requirements of the markets are fully accounted for in the product planning process to launch and after.
- Manages the Sales budget (OPEX/CAPEX) by providing input into the products / marketing budget by developing the Sales budget, manages the product management budget and provides weekly feedback on current and future spend versus actual to the COO.
- To manage third party products to increase revenues through marketing a range of products within their portfolio of partner accounts.
- To manage our key business partners to deliver innovative and compelling products to our customer base.
- To ensure that the Rapid brand is promoted and utilized in such a way as to enhance our reputation for first to market, customer satisfaction, market leadership and preferred partner for commercial partnership offerings.
- Creating and strengthening existing distribution channels and crafting ways to succeed in the highly competitive telecommunications environment in emerging markets.
- Develop regional /micro distribution processes for distribution of all brands of handsets & devices & Accessories. Prioritize 2G & 3G, basic, features & smart-phone categories in consideration with market growth and forecast with market analysis and growth opportunities existing within the regions.
- Ensure implementation of GSM handset bundling opportunities through major GSM Operators domain.
- Liaison with major wholesalers to trade high end mobile phone devices outsourced from Dubai & China and develop parallel vertical of trading and increased revenue.
- Increase the penetration of Vehicle Tracking Devices and enhance our reputation for first to market, customer satisfaction, market leadership and high level of commitment standards for commercial partnerships offerings.
- Increase the penetration of Security & People Management Devices and enhance our reputation for first to market, customer satisfaction, market leadership and high level of commitment standards for commercial partnerships offerings.
- Budgeting and planning for all kind of ATL/BTL activities for brand recognition, preparation of general & spike schemes based on the market dynamics to increase the primary & tertiary sales.

Key Accountability:

The position is responsible to deliver overall revenue targets on handsets/accessories & GPS/ GPRS tracking devices that are set year to year.
Project management of new product addition, launch, implementation of business proposal & execution.
Develop proposals in line with agreed financial thresholds and Achieve agreed vertical targets

$2500 - $3000/ Month (tax free) + Furnished Accommodation (family) + Work permit + Transport + Medical Cost, etc

- The candidate must have excellent communication, interpersonal & entrepreneurship skills.
- The remuneration would be $2500 - $3000/ Month (tax free) + Furnished Accommodation (family) + Work permit + Transport + Medical Cost, etc...
- The candidate will be provided 24 days paid leave every year as per the company policy.
- The candidate can have EITHER one ticket a year for himself, OR return ticket after 2 years for him and his family. 
- This would be a contractual job of 2 Years and renewable.
- Probation period will be of 3 months.
