Experience: 5 to 10 yrs.
In this field based role you will be providing support, advice and expertise to local Diamond Manufacturing Management. You will monitor and mentor manufacturing businesses and contribute to technical developments and continuous improvement plans. You will report directly to the Managing Directors in HQ in Antwerp. Your Key Responsibilities include :
Conducting reviews and diagnostics at local facilities. Technical Audits. Assessing business processes, operations, productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost control. Identifying opportunities for change and improvement.
Close collaboration with local management teams in developing and roll-out of key improvement plans, from strategy through practical shop-floor implementation.
Delivery of specialist support and expertise focusing on technological innovation, operational improvements, staffing, equipment, methods, sourcing of subcontractors etc.
Ensuring that all facilities are compliant with company policies and procedures.
Guiding and coaching local Plant Managers and supervisory staff.
Preparation and delivery of reports for the Board of Directors.
You are an experienced Diamond Manufacturing Professional, probably with a successful track record operating as production or technical manager in an (overseas) diamond manufacturing facility. Ideally you have a Master or similar degree in Engineering, Science, Economics or Business Administration.
You have an in-depth understanding of diamond manufacturing businesses, processes and technology.
You preferable have strong knowledge of both rough and polished diamonds. You are very well acquainted with the latest technological development in the diamond industry.
You have a solid experience in developing and managing improvement projects in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
You are a result driven and highly committed person with strong communication, interpersonal, motivational and facilitation skills. You have strong analytical, critical thinking, organizational and problem solving skills. You have excellent IT skills and are fluent in English (oral + written).
You are passionate about a global work environment and ready for extensive worldwide traveling (+50 %).
