Lab Technicians for SRL Diagnostics in Kinshasa (Congo)

Experience: 2 to 7 yrs.

SRL is expanding its International Operations by setting up a Reference Laboratory and a high end Radiodiagnosis facility in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in the capital city of Kinshasa.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:

B. Sc / M. Sc with DMLT (Mandatory) with 2+ yrs of experience in Hospital /Pathology Labs.

Job Responsibilities:

• A Scientific Officer is a technical person who is required to perform duties assigned to her according to established written procedures. She performs the duties under supervision of the Pathologist.
• The Scientific Officer is to perform those functions, which require subjective judgement to directly achieve analytical results, under supervision of the Pathologist.
• The Scientific Officer performs her duties diligently and methodically to analyse specimens allotted to her. These specimens are analysed as per procedure for the test approved by the Director - Operations.
• The Scientific Officer must receive approval of the Pathologist in making decisions in assessing calibration, control and acceptability of analytical runs for all laboratory data produced by themselves or other unlicensed personnel.
• The Scientific Officer must observe all laboratory safety precautions in the handling of clinical specimens and running of tests.
• The Scientific Officer must bring to the notice of her section supervisor any abnormal findings/test conditions required for specific attention of the supervisor.
