Description

The Customer Project Manager is responsible for managing projects towards its goal in terms of scope, time, costs, and quality. This includes detailed planning of project management activities in order to fulfill project outcome and during execution monitor and control project progress and deliveries, and focus on the needs and priorities of the customer and other important project stakeholders. 

Responsibilities

This role will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, monitoring & controlling of Ericsson derived projects supporting key customer deliverables to the highest customer satisfaction, while driving Cost, Quality, and Timeliness. 

Project Planning:

Accountable for planning, prioritizing and executing projects by working with Engagement Practices, Customer Units, Operations and Customers. This includes project procurement, integration, time, cost, scope, planning and initiation. 

Develops required project documentation identifying project goals and tasks and generating assignments consistent to meet objectives. 

Leverages organization in order to fulfill resource plan 

Establishes change management procedures, including evaluation and communication for project duration. 

Develops reporting strategy for project based on governance model. 

Relationship Building:

Ability to organize and lead project teams. Maintains clear communication with customers regarding mutual expectations and monitors customer satisfaction. 

Builds business relationships beyond the project environment. 

Provides feedback and focus to all project team members. 

Coordinates and forecast with account & operations teams new customer opportunities. 

Project Execution:

Takes responsibility for project and actively executes to project plan while maintaining quality standards. 

Ensures all commitments are met in accordance with project goals/objectives. 

Demonstrates control of equipment deliveries, service costs, project activities and customer hand-over requirements. 

Responsible for reporting on project financial and schedule progress based upon project goals. 

Ensures strategy for cost control is used. 

Good understanding of project data to predict project success. 

Manage Risks and Scope Changes:

Performs risk management. 

Manages change, formulates action plans, and mitigates risk to minimize schedule delays and costs. 

Actively takes advantage of change opportunities and recommends new or revised strategies for project integration. 

Results Focused:

Effectively manages closure of project through customer final acceptance. Ensures an on-time and in-budget project. 

Understands and assures quality standards are met on assigned deliverables. 

Evaluates and communicates final project status including lesson learned. 

Utilizes contract information to maximize success of project. 

Actively identifies efficiencies for future implementations.

Drives the use of project document control and management.

* Ericsson's Project Management standards (PROPS-C) highly desired 

* PMP Certification highly desired (or IPMA-C) 

* Senior level (mandatory): over more than 6 years of proven project management in Telecom following a recognized project methodology (PMI, IPMA, PRINCE); has handled projects as lead Project Manager (Total PM) of more than USD 15M which can be a large turn key (RAN, Core, TX, CW) or small to medium prime integration contracts.
