Key Factors
Reporting to the Supervisor and is responsible for various maintenance and repair work to the given drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction.
Accountabilities
Examination of blueprints, drawings or specifications to determine work methods, sequence of activities.
Troubleshoot, clean, calibrate and maintain the Continuous Emission Monitoring (CEM) system, Distributed Control System (DCS), instrumentation and electronics throughout the plant in a safe and professional manner.
Diagnosis of faults or breakdowns.
Inspection of work area and plant for damage and defects, and repair faulty instrument and control device operation.
Assist in the planning and scheduling of the maintenance and overhaul of plant instrumentation and control equipment.
Assist in resolution of practical technical problems such as design modifications, installation of equipment, performance testing, operation of monitoring and control devices, circuits and systems.
Framework, Boundaries and Decision Making
The job holder works within the guidelines set by the Chief Engineer E & I.
Work is regularly reviewed by the Supervisor E & I.
Qualification, Experience, Skills & Knowledge
Level of education : Diploma in Electrical / Electronics Engineering.
Job related work experience : Minimum 5-7 years experience in DCS Control Systems and Process field Instrumentation.
Other requirements : Good Organization, Communication and Man Management Skills.
