Scope of Responsibilities:
To provide a day to day HSSE management service to the E&C division that is effective and suitable to support company objectives. To ensure that the HSSE management service remains effective and suitable by effective management of competent personnel. To provide regular, reliable reports and data for monitoring HSSE performance and informing management decisions. To identify and promote opportunities for HSSE performance improvement within the division; To ensure that divisional HSSE requirements within the designated area of responsibility are widely and consistently understood and implemented.
Roles and Responsibilities:
-Oversee day to day management of the HSSE Management System for all Project and elements of the development of Project sites.
-Development and management of various aspects of HSSEMS including objectives, schedules/programmes, plans, resources, documentation, file structures, eBMS implementation, 18001 compliance, HSSE legal compliance, incident response/investigation.
-Involvement of review and monitoring of implementation of HSSE component of the BMS.
-Day to day management and direction of HSSE personnel within designated area including Advisors, Supervisors, Trainers.
-Application of hazard identification and risk assessment processes to office facilities and implementation of appropriate control measures to reduce the risks to ALARP Maintain a daily working relationship with HSSE team, line management and subcontractors in relation of their respective compliance with the provisions of the HS&E policies and manuals and legal requirements.
-Review the effectiveness of hazard controls/mitigations and report HSSE performance against as required.
-Contribute to the HSSE lessons learned forum within the Project and communicating more widely where appropriate.
-Contributing to the HSSE component of the action tracking system within the Project.
-Assist fully (and participate where necessary) in the investigation of incidents and near misses
-Take a leading role in HSSEMS compliance assurance audits.
-Ensure Corporate Objectives, Policies and Procedures are implemented within designated area.
