Android Kernel Engineer for California, USA

In this role you will be part of highly technical focused team responsible for Stability, Performance and Power Save areas analyzing various Android kernel / system level issues, Kernel / Modem OS HWWD , Crashdumps and fixing them. Improving Android system performance from Kernel perspective is one of the key area of this position.

• Deep knowledge of Android kernel an its various subsystems.
• Hands on debugging HWWD, Native crashes, Modem crashes, device drivers .etc.
• Deep knowledge on ARM SoC ( Qualcomm / TI / Broadcom etc ) and understanding of bootloaders.
• Hands on fixing kernel issues ( Requires deep C hands on experience ).
• Deep understanding of HAL, Android kernel modules, DD ..etc.
• Hands one experience with one of subsystem like Touch , Sensors, Display, Graphics stack ( Not app level ) , Local Connectivity, LBS, Modem is a Must.
• Knowledge of Android framework and Java is a plus

Candidates possessing a valid work visa/ authorization to US are eligible: H1B, Initial F1 OPT, CPT, Green Card, GC-EAD, L2-EAD, US Citizen, Mexican & Canadian Citizens (TN Permit), Australian Citizens (E3 Visa), Extended/STEM OPT. Candidates having only H1/i797 petitionapproval are also eligible.

 Note 1: Currently we do not sponsor H1B visa. We undertake transferring of H1 visa. We would take up processing of expired H1b visa (stamped or unstamped) including expired H1 petition in certain cases.
