Interview for Safety Officer for Jeddah, Saudi Arabia


Job Responsibilities:
• Advise and support the effective implementation and maintenance of the Safety Management System;
• Support client department(s) in trending analysis, safety planning, and execution to enable the reduction of undesired events and promote continuous improvement;
• As a team member, assist and provide leadership in event response, investigation, cause analysis, report development, corrective action follow-up and trending:
 • Promote interaction between the various teams and the local field Health & Safety Advisors;
 •  Assist in providing resources for all high-risk events;
 • Provide  guidance on ‘process safety’ principles and promote:
 • Focus on investigations where equipment/systems-related events have occurred;     
 • Integration of process safety through pro-active assessments (i.e. Hazard ID and Risk Analysis / MOC /HAZOP/ etc.);
• Operational readiness;
• Participate through the stages of pre-planning, execution and post-evaluation of major projects;
• Support, facilitate, and participate in Health & Safety meetings and other related communication strategies;
• Provide technical advice and support of safety programs including codes of practice, standards, rules, procedures and guidelines;
• Support and advise client groups on the application of the corporate Vendor/Contractor management system (pre-qualification, orientation, field evaluation and post-assessment);
• Support and/or conduct workplace and facility health and safety inspections, analysis and reporting, as well as worker/task observations and other leading indicator processes;
• Support and/or provide safety training and coaching for client groups and related vendors/contractors;
• Assist in maintaining the ERP Program requirements, including on-site drills and exercises. Provide on-call support, as applicable;
• Liaise with regulatory authorities on workplace Health & Safety matters, as required;
• Participate in mentorship/coaching opportunities with Health & Safety peers.

QUALIFICATION: DIPLOMA- CIVIL/SAFETY WITH MINIMUM OF 5 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN THE RELATED FIELD.
