Principal Accountabilities: Form HSE prospective; supervise site activities Be an HSE role model and ensure that HSE issues and requirements are properly reported and timely addressed Interact with contractor staff to set clear HSE expectations
Follow up adherence to HSSE policies and the application of the Life Saving Rules, Safety Critical Standards, and other procedures. Site HSE intervention and reporting Report writing Incident / unsafe acts and conditions Participate and/or facilitate inspections, audits and Tool Box Talks; whenever required Conducting safety training; whenever required Facilitating various HSE meetings Facilitating HSE Campaigns, events (Shell Safety Days)
Coaching and training local HSE supervisors in the Contractors organization. Carry out other duties as and when required by management.Key Challenges: High focus on ethics and compliance at all times.
Establish effective communications and working interfaces with other parts of the Majnoon Field Development project Interfacing with contractors providing services to the project Accuracy and attention to detail Work force that may have low safety knowledge and practical work skills Knowledge of Shell HSE tools and techniques Job Knowledge
Skills & Experience:
2-5 yrs experience in HSE , preferred in construction projects
College graduate or equivalent in a technical discipline.
Basic understanding of Site HSE knowledge IT literate with knowledge of standard MS systems General knowledge of the oil & gas industry.
Knowledge of HSSE-MS Ability to work in a diverse environment with a multi- national work force Must be motivated and a self-starter with leadership abilities and a "can do" attitude.
Good communication skills and attitude Ability to work with contractors
Good command of English and Arabic language written and oral.
