Qualification : University Degree (Min. of 4 years after secondary education) in Computer Science or related field.
Experience : Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in application development on Oracle platform (Oracle Forms, reports, Graphics Builder, and Designer) or Microsoft Visual Studio (C#, VB, Silverlight, ASP). Experience with Orion ERP (3i-Infotech) is preferable.
knowledge of a software development methodology (e.g. Information
Engineering Methodologies, Oracle CDM, etc.). Project Management experience is a plus.
Proficiency in programming using SQL and similar database query languages.
Working knowledge with Linux and MS Windows Operating Systems.
Job Responsibilities :
Business Requirements Collection and Analysis. Identifies and analyzes business requirements to address needs for automation. Documents business requirements and scope of automation.
Business Process Re- engineering (BPR) and System Design. Oversees and participates - as appropriate - in the BPR and design of Information System solutions that meets business needs.
Implementation and Deployment of ERP Information System. Oversees and participates - as appropriate in installing, configuring, and maintaining the ERP system infrastructure.
Module, Integration, and Stress Testing. Develops specifications for module, integration, and stress tests. Performs testing on developed/ deployed systems according tests specifications.
ERP System Operation and Maintenance. Analyzes, review, and reports ERP system faults and bugs, and follows up on their correction by vendors. Ensures ERP has latest upgrades.
Users Support and Training. Provides training, advice, and guidance to colleagues and programmers to build capacity within the IT department.
Proactively seek to develop self. Look to improve technical skills, industry/Future knowledge and analytical techniques.
Work to develop existing reports and improve departmental efficiency, without compromising quality or accuracy.
Provide modelling support to the business to enable accurate future planning decisions to be made.
