Undertake design and modelling as instructed by the principal or senior engineer.
Report directly to the principal or senior engineer.
Conduct orientation and training for subordinates, inside or outside drainage team, as necessary and as directed by the Line Manager.
Undertake CAD operations and delivery of design drawings.
Ensure that design tasks and deliverables conform to Hyder’s system and quality standards.
Preparation of design drawings, calculations, scheme evaluations and design reports.
Coordination with associated disciplines to ensure that interfaces have been considered and accounted for.
Assistance in striving continuous technical improvement of the design team.
Maintenance of a solid knowledge of industry standards and design codes.
The Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s /College Degree in Civil Engineering, Postgraduate Diploma/ Master’s degree and Professional License (passed Board/ Bar/ Professional License Exam).
The position is open for Graduate Engineer level (zero and above) years of experience in related work.
Basic/academic knowledge of storm & foul water drainage networks and associated fittings and fixtures is necessary.
Basic/academic knowledge of the design of pumping mains and related civil works is preferred.
Basic knowledge in associated modern design software is preferred (e.g. InfoWorks, StormCAD, SewerCAD, Microdrainage, Tuflow, DRAINS, etc).
Basic knowledge of road design software such as Civil 3D, MX and/ or 12D is preferred.
