We are currently looking for talentented individuals to fill our current vacancy for Health and Safety Engineer (with NEBOSH Diploma) to work on our projects in Abu Dhabi, UAE .
Duties and Responsibilities:
Carry out record, document and issue daily, weekly & monthly, site safety inspections, audits and repor
Liaise with the Client H&S, contractors and other consultants
Review, assess and comment on all safety related submittals.
Advise on potential hazards at work site
Prepare and issue Safety Notifications for unsafe works or activities
Ensure all agreed safety standards and applicable regulations are observed
Carry-out and record regular site safety inspections
Investigate all accidents and dangerous occurrences, prepare reports.
Monitor “Permit to Work” procedures implemented by the contractor
Promote and carry out site safety training
Set a high personal example of Health and Safety at all times.
Assist in preparation and presentation of internal and external Construction related Safety Training Courses
Qualifications and Experience:
Successful completion of a relevant degree in appropriate Civil Engineering/Construction discipline from a recognised Tertiary Institution
Must have NEBOSH Diploma
Exposure in Infrastructure projects
Membership of an internationally recognised H&S Institute, ie IOSH, OSHA, IIRSM
Minimum of eight (8) years postgraduate experience
Minimum of six (6) years experience in the safety field
Minimum of three (3) years experience in construction safety
Possessing Safety Training experience
Familiarity with international standards and QCS 2010
Good written and verbal communication skills in English
An ability to identify potential problems and propose solutions
Ability to work within a team and prioritise works
Ability to work well within a site based team of mixed nationalities
Experience in Microsoft applications, word and excel
Ability to build rapport with work colleagues
Experience in supervising/managing safety preferably in the construction field of piling/reinforced concrete/structural steel/road construction/bridge construction/drainage/water supply/HVAC/ electrical installations
