WELDING FOREMAN

Qualification & Experience :   
Should have 2 years Technical Diploma or Trade Apprenticeship with 5 years experience in similar capacity

Good command of English Language.

Proven leadership quality and communication skill.
 

Responsible :
All the processes for which they are responsible are performed according to specified standards.

Preparing Turn Over for next shift including Weld productivity report.

Coordinating progress with Ship Repair Manager.

Ensure that proper housekeeping is maintained through out the production process.

Responsible to conduct Tool Box talk with the team members for different quality & safety related issues / alerts.

Provide reports on compliance of the welders ID nos. in the welding joints (workshop / onboard).

Pro-active participation in identifying process errors onboard / in the workshop highlighting and raising the non-conformances through Occurrence Reports. Raise corrective/preventive actions & control implementation of same.

Take the initiative steps towards improvement of the in-process work procedures.

Working as a team leader responsible for On Job Training and performance appraisals of the other team members.

Surveillance and implementation of effective tools and techniques being used in the shop (like SAW m/c, MIG mic etc).

Ensure that the Safety, Quality & Environment requirements of the yard are strictly followed.

Perform other job related duties as assigned by the section head.

QC INSPECTOR - NDT (UT/MPI)

Qualification : DME/B.Sc 

PCN  LEVEL II 3.1/3.2/3.8/3.9 and ASNT Level II

 Experience : Should have 3 Years in relevant technique and  having basic knowledge of ship terminologies.
 He should have relevant experience  to read drawings.
 Personnels with shipbuilding / offshore experience is preferred.
 Knowledge of codes and standards used in onshore and offshore structures

QC INSPECTOR - STRUCTURAL

Qualification : DME/B.Sc

AWS-CWI / CSWIP  or Equivalent

Experience :
Should have 3 to 5 years of experience in Structural Inspections in Oil & gas/Marine/Offshore/onshore Industry.
Sound knowledge in reading Structural drawings.
Knowledge of QA / QC inspection activities.
Knowledge of Structural fabrication Codes and Standards such as AWS, API and ASME & Other International fabrication standards.
NDT Level II in various techniques will be an added advantage.
Shall have good reporting skills
Fluent in English

QC INSPECTOR - PIPING

Qualification : DME/B.Sc  

AWS-CWI / CSWIP  or Equivalent

Experience :
Should have 5 years of experience in Piping Inspections in Oil & gas/Marine/Offshore/onshore Industry.
Sound knowledge in reading Piping drawings (isometric construction and P&I D.
Knowledge of QA / QC inspection activities.
Shall be conversant with piping codes and standards (ASME 31.3, API and ASME & Other International fabrication standards).
NDT Level II in various techniques will be an added advantage.
Shall have good reporting skills
Fluent in English

QC INSPECTOR - ELECTRICAL

Qualification : DME/B.Sc
CompEX certification with 4 modules (Ex 01, 02, 03 & 04) is an advance.
Fiber Optics certification is an advance.

Experience :
Should have 3 years of inspection experience in a shipyard, oil & gas industry or related field.
Should be conversant with applicable inspection, testing techniques and standards.
Good command over English language and effective communication skills.
Good planning and execution skills.
Good knowledge in QC documentation (ITP preparation, generation of inspection test report etc.)
Good knowledge in Microsoft office

QC INSPECTOR - HT

Qualification : DME/B.Sc
NACE Level I/II or Equivalent

Experience :

Minimum two years of QC inspection experience in a shipyard or related field.
IST inspection experience is preferable.
Good communication skills and command of English language.
Knowledge of QA / QC inspection activities.

QC INSPECTOR - DIMENSIONAL CONTROL

Qualification : DME/B.Sc Marine or Mechanical
Experience :
Minimum two years of dimensional control inspection experience in a shipyard or related field.
Good working experience with Total Station and Best fit software (AXYZ).
Good communication skills and command of English language.
Knowledge of QA / QC inspection activities.
Good Auto CAD knowledge.

HYDRAULIC  FOREMAN

Qualification :
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Industrial trade certificate or equivalent experience with hydraulic equipment
Experience :
Should have 5 years of Hands-on experience on hydraulic systems preferably on marine hydraulic systems.
Thorough knowledge of Hydraulics circuit reading is required. Basic knowledge of electronics and electro hydraulic systems is preferred.
Responsible : 

Identification of Jobs onboard the ships on arrival/Call for repairs.

Identifying the job requirements and providing proper feedback to the Sr. Foreman / Hydraulics Engineer.

Guiding the Hydraulics Technicians technically as and when necessary.

Preparation of documents like Time sheets, Work completion reports, inspection reports, test certificates etc.

Identifying the hazards in the work area and preparing risk assessments for the specific work activity.

Conducting toolbox talks, organizing the job requirements for the Technicians & Fitter to perform the job in

safe and efficient manner.

Communicating with Ship repair managers / customers representatives according to the work requirements.

Ensure that the Safety, Quality & Environment requirements of the yard are strictly followed.

Perform other job related duties as assigned by the section head.

MECHANICAL FOREMAN

Qualification :

Should have 2 years ITI or Trade Apprenticeship with 5 years experience in similar capacity.

Ship Repair, Ship Building or Industrial experience in some reputed concerns in related field and at Supervisory level.

Responsible

Ensuring that jobs are being carried out as specified with regard to safety quality and delivery time and controlling output of personnel and subcontractors.

Ensuring that instructions regarding work requirements are relayed from the appropriate documents (e.g. specifications Work Instructions, Process Sheets etc.) to the Operators.

Liaise with ships staff/owners representative during work onboard.

Obtaining customer's approval signatures on time sheets and work completion reports when required.

Preparing work completion reports wherever required.

Preparing list of materials, equipment, transport requirements and other logistics prior to attending vessel.

Following up of work progress and reporting progress to the Supervisor

Ensuring all work is completed to the required specification before final inspections are called for.

Ensuring that Division's equipment is taken care of on site to prevent damage or malfunction, and that all equipment, tools and unused materials are returned to base on completion of work.

Ensuring welfare of personnel under their supervision.

Ensuring discipline, safe and efficient work practices and house keeping on site and to report disciplinary cases to Supervisor.

Providing performance appraisal information on Operators to the Supervisor.

Ensure that the Safety, Quality & Environment requirements of the yard are strictly followed.

Perform other job related duties as assigned by the section head.

PLATER FOREMAN

Qualification :   
2 years Technical Diploma or Trade Apprenticeship with 3 years experience in similar capacity.

Good steel fabrication and welding knowledge.

Responsible for: (The main job activities)
Preplanning of jobs & providing feedback to Fim Sr. l Supervisor on Sequence of job, manpower, equipment.

Co-ordination of work progress with SRI, Superintendent, Other trades and with his own Dept.

Ensuring all work is performed according to the required standards and within required time.

Ensure effective & Productive use of allocated manpower, consumables and materials.

Maintaining production records. Follow up and report work progress as required by the Supervisor. Provide personnel appraisal and training requirement for subordinate.

Ensure that work instruction requirements are met.

Ensure house keeping is maintained at required level.

Motivate, train, and develop subordinate.

Productivity measurements to carryout as per Steel Department procedures.

Ensure that the Safety, Quality & Environment requirements of the yard are strictly followed.

Perform other job related duties as assigned by the section head.

SR. PREPARATOR
 
Qualification :     
Should  have working  experience for about   5-6   years preferably  as a qualified  work Preparator.

Good knowledge of AUTO CAD. Other softwares knowledge  like  SHIP CONSTRUCTOR etc. preferred.

Good command of English Language oral and written.

Proven leadership quality and communication skill.

Should be conversant with the safe working practice and quality standards.

Job Responsibilities :
Ensure that the work resources meet planned requirements.

Timely highlight discrepancies / critical material from Owner specifications / Tenders.

Liaise with Ship Manager / Commercial Department / other trades to resolve different Techno commercial interface issues.

Audit work sketches prepared by Work   Pre parator.

Authorizing material request for coded items.

Verify specific requirements for the material received against MR. (Certificates, Test Reports etc.)

Liaise with Buyers/Purchase department for technical queries asked by respective supplier_Identify training needs with an active participation in Skill development program.

Active participation in quality culture by highlighting non-Conformities through Occurrence reports.  Identifying and implementing improvements in the work preparation process.

Working as a team leader responsible for On Job Training and performance appraisals of the other team members.

Compliance with company Safety and Quality Management system and DPM.

Ensure that the Safety, Quality & Environment requirements of the yard are strictly followed.

PIPING FOREMAN

Qualification :    
Basic knowledge on Pipe Work Preparation including knowledge of isometrics, arrangement drawings and fabrication sketches required.

Should be conversant with applicable pipe fabrication tolerances, safe working practice and quality standards.

Good command of English Language.

Proven leadership quality and communication skill.

Minimum 3 years experience in major Shipyard I Oil & Gas Organization.

Responsibility :
Responsible to arrange necessary  safety work permits in desired work area.

Check and identify all the safety  hazards as well as infringements that are being done within the area and raise near miss / hazard spotted forms as required

Responsible to conduct Tool  Box talk  with the team members for different quality & safety related issues.

Pro-actively participate in identifying process errors onboard / in the workshop highlighting and raise non-conformances through Occurrence Reports.

To support Supervisors, Sr. Foremen and Planners in Pre planning, generation of programs and follow up of all jobs in order to optimize utilization of resources.

Coordinate with Pipe department sections as required for job execution.

 Coordinate with Ship Repair manager, Invoicer and other trades as required for the projects as well as for the resolution of interface issues.

Coordinate  with  attending   superitendent Ship's Crew, Surveyor and other external interfaces as required..

Preparing Turn Over for next shift including On board Fabrication / Erection progress report.

Provide assistance to Work Preparators on pipe work preparation activities.

Ensure that the Safety, Quali & Environment requirements of the yard are strictly followed.

Perform other job related duties as assigned by the section head.
