Safety Inspector for Drydocks World, Dubai

Any Nationality

 Issue and control of Safety permits.
 Monitoring work on-board and other yard areas to identify potential hazards and instigate remedial actions.
 Coordinating with the vessel safety representatives.
 Updating the coordination board on each vessel as required.
 Investigation of accidents and incidents and reporting on it.
 Maintaining safety records for each vessel.
 Emergency Response Team.
 Conducting Safety Training.
 Ensure that the Safety, Quality & Environment requirements of the yard are strictly followed.
 Perform other job related duties as assigned by the section head.

 3 years experience as a Safety Inspector or similar position in ship repair, particularly with VLCC's / ULCC's.
 Should have a recognized qualification in Safety (IOSH / NEBOSH general certificate equivalent.) and be able to demonstrate experience of working in a safety capacity.
 Proficiency use of MS Office applications.
 Good command of English Language. 
 Confident and able to effectively communicate at all levels.
