Head Nurse - Accident & Emergency Department

Any Nationality

Experience: 4 - 9 yrs.

The Head Nurses leads the management of a patient care unit for administrative and clinical aspects to include organizing, developing, directing and assuring the delivery of cost – effective, quality patient care. She/he lead the processes which ensure that patient care is delivered in accordance with established corporate wide policies and procedures, nursing standards and the Hospital's Code of Professional Behavior and Ethics for Nurses and Midwives. They provide education to staff based on theoretical and clinical expertise. This position will have 24 hour accountability to ensure clinical resource and continuity of patient care.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing and/or post graduate award leading to, or in addition to, a valid nursing license that meets the requirements for licensing in the State of Qatar.

Clinical Nurse Specialist - Ambulance Services

The Clinical Nurse Specialists provides expert advice related to specific conditions or treatment pathways. She/he will focus on improving patient care and developing services. Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNSs) play a unique role in the delivery of high quality care. These clinicians are experts in evidence-based practice in specialty areas, such as oncology, pediatrics, geriatrics, psychiatric/mental health and community health among others. In addition to providing direct patient care, CNS’s may engage in teaching, mentoring, consulting, research, management and systems improvement. They are able to adapt their practice to work across settings, and influence outcomes by providing expert consultation to all care providers and by implementing improvements in health care delivery systems.

Reports to: Assistant Executive Director of Nursing
Direct reports: Nursing staff, administration staff
Key Interactions: The nursing community, physicians, allied health professionals, administrators and all other members of the multi-disciplinary team
Hours of Work: permanent, full time, 40 hours per week.
Shift patterns included: Ambulance Service is operating from Sunday-Sunday, 24 hours per day. Shifts are worked within these hours.
Education Requirements: 
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (4 years program) + Masters in Nursing or equivalent post-graduate certification in nursing specialty.
Experience Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years post nursing registration experience
Including a minimum of 3 years of experience in specialty area of focus
Including a minimum of 1 year in the position of a Clinical Nurse Specialist in the specialty area of focus


Director of Nursing - Radiology Clinical Service Unit

The Director of Staff Management organizes and maintains an integrated staffing system to provide an effective nursing workforce and a database for Nursing Administration.
