Inventory Controller for Qatar

Any Nationality

Your main duties will be:

• Maintain inventory in the most efficient and cost effective manner by ensuring the availability of agreed materials to meet operational requirement. 
• Monitor replenishment of inventory material. Liaises with the end users to ensure that accurate status on all orders is available. 
• Identify and recommend appropriate inventory management strategy to minimize acquisition lead time, and stock value for items and improve stock availability within assigned group, without compromising service level.
• Identify obsolete, surplus and moribund items for disposal and liaise with Material Management department in initiating disposal process.
• Carry out continuous inventory review management with end users to ensure that stock holding level is at optimal
• Responsible for the interface between contractor’s material management systems.
• Carry out constant SAP data integrity checks and liaise with SAP Support Team to resolve in order to ensure integrity of SAP MM data availability to the end users
• Prepare Inventory Management monthly report for CP/Logistics/end users KPI contribution, weekly stock out report and monitoring process.
• Maintain inventory levels per inventory target and minimize obsolescence Ensure that Materials shall be received, inspected, handled and stored in such a manner which shall ensure that their quality and value are preserved in accordance with the original specification, to meet operational requirements
• Ensure that the exact location of all materials in open storage is adequately coded and recorded and all Stock Materials are to be marked with a stock Number prior to storage
• Ensure that all material is to be stored in a manner that affords full protection against deterioration and/or damage whilst in storage, including the use of protective measures necessary to maintain the material in a fully serviceable condition.
• Co-ordinate with end users in receiving materials to ensure it is under acceptable quality and according to specifications
• Co-ordinate with Third party inspectors for tubular inspection
• Co-ordinate with CP department for Cyclic Stock checks and random controls shall be carried out on a continual basis by the warehouse Team.
• Ensure on a 5 days look ahead basis that the right materials & packaging equipments are available to cope with drilling plan.
• Responsible of Inventory/stock control management, optimize the use of resources to gain synergy
• Focus on safe issuing of materials, storage and delivery to end users
• Maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
• Coaches Contractor’s Supply Base team members in all aspects of managing materials.
• Responsible for the efficient, safe and effective day-to-day material supply activities including reverse Logistics.
• Coordinate transportation of drilling assembly to / from supplier’s workshop including movement of High Cost Rentals.
• Good knowledge in drilling material and equipment.
• Competence in MS Excel software and stock keeping records.
• Competence in handling & packaging of dangerous goods by road, sea & air 
• Knowledge of SAP MM and SD modules an advantage

Ideally you should have experience: 10 years’ experience in oil industry on Warehouse/Material Management, Stock Control in oil and gas industry.


Location: Raslaffan, Qatar

Contract duration: 1 year renewable 

Rotation: 11 months ON/01 month OFF
