The Opportunity
A successful candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in design and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate degree teaching, to the PhD level. The appointee will be expected to contribute to teaching through distance education at other University Campuses within the Pacific Islands. A link to the Pacific Islands Centre for Public Administration provides exciting teaching opportunities, including travel around the Region. The Pacific provides interesting opportunities for research, and we are particularly seeking candidates with demonstrated research excellence.
The Person We Seek
- Applicants must have:
A PhD in management and/or public administration or related discipline
Relevant tertiary teaching experience, including executive teaching
A track record of research publications in high quality ranked journals and other refereed outlets
Demonstrated ability to work as member of a team in a multicultural environment
For appointment at the Associate Professor level, candidates should have high-quality research publications in leading international outlets, documented excellence in teaching, the ability to attract research funds, and some experience in academic management/administration.
- Preference will be given to applicants with:
- Familiarity with management and public administration in developing countries and/or the Pacific region
- Experience working in or consulting to the public or private sector
Remuneration
The position is available for a term of 3 years and may be renewed by mutual agreement.
- Salary Range: Lecturer FJ$ 66, 990 to FJ$ 88, 144 per annum
Senior Lecturer FJ$ 90, 882 to FJ$ 104, 865 per annum
Associate Professor FJ$ 111, 229 to FJ$ 125, 133 per annum
