    PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
    The Responsibility of the Air Cargo Handling Services Agent shall include, but not be limited to check the cargo documentation to determine the contents, and classify goods into different classes might be.

    PRINCIPAL TASKS:

    Aviation Security shall scan the materials prior to receiving cargo for shipment.

    The cargo handler shall check the packing and markings on the outer cover of the destination field, DPC, and the final delivery point of the consignment.

    The cargo handler shall measure the weight of each package and shall ensure tallying with the freight manifest

    The cargo handler is responsible to assure each consignment of cargo is accompanied by six copies of the approved (COMPANY NAME) air freight manifest (SA 2057).

    The cargo handler shall also ensure the size/weight limits of the package before acceptance.

    The cargo handler shall verify all entries in the manifest for the
    accuracy.

    Cargo handler shall extend assistance to the shipper for proper preparation of freight manifest.

    After ensuring the compliance of all procedures related to cargo acceptance, the cargo handler shall sign the manifest for acceptance and issue one copy to the shipper.

    The first copy (original) of the manifest shall be retained in the Aviation file.

    The second and third copies shall be sent to the destination airfield along with the cargo.

    One copy shall be issued to aircrew for the flight release file.

    Cargo handler shall segregate the cargo destination wise to keep in the cargo shelf for shipment.

    Cargo handler shall direct ground crew to load the cargo on the aircraft under his supervision.

    Cargo handler shall prepare the load sheet for each flight.

    All manifest copies shall be attached in to one file for the final destination of the cargo and handed over to the flight attendance. After verification, the flight attendant shall sign for accepting the cargo on-board.

    Traffic Dispatch shall add the weight of luggage into cargo loading sheet, to calculate the total weight.

    The final load sheet shall be given to the flight attendant and signed a copy shall be retained for aviation file.

    After reaching the cargo at the final destination, the relevant people shall check the manifest and the loading sheet for accuracy. Finally the cargo receiving dispatcher shall fax the loading sheet with comments if any.
      QUALIFICATIONS:

      Shall have a minimum of two (2) years experience in the Aviation field and experience in computer and data entry.

      Shall be current and proficient in CPR and First Aid.

      Shall have a Fire Fighting and IATA Approved Dangerous Goods certificate.

      Have at least minimum of high school Diploma.

      Be Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
