NDT Supervisors for Saudi Arabia

Urgently required for a Multinational Joint Venture Company for Establishing Modern Power Generation Component Manufacturing Factory (Heat Recovery Steam Generator - HRSG) at King Abdullah Economic City, North of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

QC

Overall target of the position 
To ensure that manufactured or procured products meet the specified standards, codes and contractual requirements, before they progress to the next phase of production or are sent to customers. Coordinate and manage the team inspection activities, procedures and related records. 

Job Assignments, Measurements & Sphere of Influence
Tasks & Responsibilities 
-Verify that quality requirements (inspection and test) are met and that the results are sufficiently recorded for the various stages;
-Support quality control programs and manufacturing processes to ensure conformance to requirements;
-Provide technical advice in specialized quality control technologies such as non destructive testing, metrology, codes and regulations;
-Ensure the measuring and testing equipment is validated (fit for purpose); set correctly and calibrated (fit for use); 
-Check and test of materials and parts from outside suppliers and monitor the production process at different stages; 
-Carry out tests on products by observing or measuring dimensions, weight, or physical or chemical characteristics against specified requirements; 
-Release goods and services for next process steps;
-Raise NCRs in case requirements are not satisfied;
-Establish and maintain accurate records of tests and inspections; 
-Include Incoming Goods Inspection, In-Process Inspections and Measurements, Finished goods or services acceptance measurements;
-Issue inspection and test instructions within his sphere of competence;
-Manage and supervise the assigned personnel (training, competencies, skills, experience and task attribution);
-Support Corrective and Preventive Actions;
-Participate in customer and third parties witness and hold points;
-Ensure the records meet the specified requirements
-Perform and record follow-up inspections to processes and products;
-Establish a close cooperation with manufacturing supervisors in order to ensure the performance of QC activities according to ITP and manufacturing schedule and to identify deviations that may lead to the manufacturing of non conforming items.

Education & Trainings
Mandatory (MUST) 
-High school technical education;
-Knowledge in production and quality control procedures; 
-Qualification as level 2 in non destructive testing;

Desirable (NICE TO HAVE) 
-Higher technical degree
-Knowledge of ASME / EN is preferable
-Specific knowledge in measuring systems;
-Knowledge of ISO 9001 standard and other quality control standards;

Professional Experience
Mandatory (MUST) 
-Some experience in the scope of QC activity of power pressure equipments; 
-People Management;
-Organizational skills. 

Desirable (NICE TO HAVE) 
Some experience in supervision of QC teams;

Functional know-how 
Mandatory (MUST)
-Specialized knowledge in non destructive testing
-Knowledge of 97/23/EC directive andcode EN 1090 and/or DIN 18800
-Ability to train and to transfer knowledge to the team;
-Assure readiness for customer and third parties inspections;
-Knowledge of Alstom policies and practices;
-Quality control methods and tools;
-Knowledge of EHS Standards and rules.

Desirable (NICE TO HAVE) 
-Identify potential quality risks;
-Metallurgic knowledge
