Mechanical & Instrument Supervisor
Reports to: Site Manager
Objective:
To supervise discipline construction activities in interior Sites to ensure that all works are completed in accordance to design, on schedule and to appropriate levels of HSE & Quality.
Key Accountabilities:
• Supervising the discipline construction and commissioning activities in the interior Sites in a safe manner, within budget, on time and in accordance with applicable Clients procedure and Technical Specifications.
• Review the scope of construction works and identify any anomalies prior and during construction.
• Monitor the HSE performance of all construction works in the area.
• Review plans and ensure project targets are met.
• Understand fully the specification and drawings.
• Follow planning schedule to achieve the target activities fully.
• Liaise with Site Manager, Planning Engineer and QC Engineer to maximum output for the work by allocating labor and plant resources etc.
• Apply and collect the work permit according to the work requirements and discuss with permit holders.
• Prepare daily site report for allocation of manpower and machinery in consultation with planning engineer.
• Prepare urgent requirements of materials, as per MTO.
• Ensure QA/QC procedure, Control Plans, work instructions are being carried out and proper records are maintained.
• Prepare inspection request, if any required to monitor by QC personnel.
• Assign technician on their respective work to achieve the targets on time.
• Provide organizational support skills and promote team works.
• Encourage / promote and maintain SAFE site working practices with working as team.
• Highlight to planning engineer /Quantity Surveyor for any potential variations / additional works.
• Assist Planning Engineer in preparation of short-term programs.
• Promote positive Health, Safety and Environmental awareness among the work force.
• Provide As-Built drawings for Clients approval.
• Actively participate in the process of Omanisation initiatives and activities.
• HSE Accountabilities: Responsible for own safety & the safety of work force working under the supervision.
• Conduct/Ensure HSE toolbox talks/ meetings.
• Discuss with & create awareness in the Team regarding all incidents /near misses.
• Carry out TRICK card analysis.
• Explain all permits & the hazards involved to PH and work force. Carry out job hazard analysis.
• Ensure Proper PPEs are issued to the workers and
compliance.
• Assist in carrying out HSE inspection.
• Implementing safety measures
• Providing every employee with adequate personal protection equipment according to the regulations in force, making sure they are used,
• Introducing new employees to work hazards and safety measures, assign mentor for green hats.
• Inspecting the installations, cranes and other equipment according to the applicable rules, maintaining records of inspection dates
• Providing potable water and first aid supplies,
• Making sure proper signs and warnings are posted,
• Implementing environmental protection and sanitary measures.
• Perform functional tests of installations, apparatus and instruments and ensure the employees are physically and psychologically fit for their job.
• Supervise proper handling of equipment, tools, and personal protective equipment.

Qualification & Experience:
• Degree/ Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline (B.Sc./ M.Sc./ B.Eng.).
• 7-10 years of experience in oil and gas projects, having worked in the Supervisory Level.
• Oman experience & PDO Permit Applicant Card holders are desirable.
Quality Control (QC) Inspector - Mechanical / Instrumentation
Reports to QA/ QC Engineer
Objective:
Responsible for execution of Quality inspections as per Sp1171, Contract Quality Control Plan and Inspection Test Packs. Responsible the crew & for safe, efficient utilisation of construction resources in accordance with Contract HSE requirements and Contract technical specifications and standards, in the construction activities in the respective discipline.
Key Accountabilities:
• Arrange for Client’s representative for witness points as per the approved QCO’s.
• Liaison with Client representative for Procedure Qualification/ welder qualification and for Laboratory tests.
• Review materials test certificates for compliance with the standards.
• Monitor and control pre-heat/ inter-pass temperatures and other welding parameters as per the AFC WPS.
• Maintain latest revision of relevant specifications, contract documents & drawings pertaining to mechanical activities.
• Supervise the implementation of the relevant QA/QC procedures, QCPs and work instruction.
• Carry out dimensional checks.
• Prepare NDT request and monitor NDT activities.
• Interpretation of radiographs to acceptable standards.
• Assist QA/QC Engineer in Compiling and Preparation of Final Test Pack.
• Coordinating Quality Audit and take appropriate corrective and preventive actions for the closing out the CAR’s.
• Support incoming materials inspections in liaison with Material Controller/store keeper.
• Responsible for verification of calibration status of inspection, Measuring & Test Equipment.
• Liaise with the Company QA /QC Engineer for the conduct of day-to-day quality related activities of the project.
• Verify latest copies of all the QA/QC Procedures, QC plans and Work instructions are available at site in coordination with QAQC Engineer/Site document controller.
• Carryout /Co-ordinate all inspection and test requirements of the project at all stages as per the approved ITP and contract requirements.
• Witness and interpret test results accurately. Maintain inspection /test status at every stage of inspection.
• Compile and maintain all the records of inspection and test till the end of contract.
• Implementation and supervision of all Sub-Contractor’s QCP/ Procedures and Work instructions.
• Monitor Sub-Contractor’s performance for compliance with Quality requirements.
• Identify and raise NCR’s for non-conformed activity
• Verify corrective and preventive action taken for non-conformance.
• Actively participate in the process of Omanisation initiatives and activities.
