This is a vacancy in our wholesale & retail division, primarily covering the procurement of toys, baby products and gift/ novelty items. We have the exclusive distribution rights for some of the best international brands in our territories. Our retail division deals with almost 30-40 vendors and over 75 brands to fulfil customer demands.

The person will work with the department head closely to achieve the set objectives. The job profile will be a combination of the following activities, but not just limited to the list : 

• Continuously search for trendy products that excite customers through various sources ranging from trade fairs to print, visual and internet media.
• Select products based on customer tastes and preferences
• Communicate with vendors and negotiate for the best deals
• Release purchase orders and continuously follow up for timely delivery
• Categorize products based on customer requirements and manage the product portfolio for the business
• Closely coordinate with sales department and update the team on new arrivals, product features and stock availability.
• Assist in training the sales team on brands & products
• Understand visual merchandising techniques and promote brands in retail environments

• Should have a degree in any discipline and preferably higher qualification in management (MBA or equivalent).
• Analytical skills to review reports and understand the market trends as well as customer tastes & preferences.
• Ideal candidate will be the one who combines the creative and analytical skills.
• Should have 3+ years of experience in a professional and process oriented environment is required, but pro-activity and positive thinking will have a higher preference over experience.
• Our operations run on SAGE 300 & Microsoft dynamics ERP systems, so familiarity with ERP systems will be an added advantage.
