Chief engineer oversee the entire operations of a engineering department.
Operations include utility management, plumbing and sewage, building and maintenance of hotel, building etc. It is the chief engineer's job to deal effectively with customers, bosses and staff workers while keeping the department running smoothly.
A chief engineer is also responsible for manpower planning for engineering department, communication with coordinative departments, preparing budgets for engineering department and scheduled maintenance.
