Food / Meat Processing Technologist for Halal Food Industries Plc, Ethiopia



HALAL FOOD Industries. plc. (HFI) are specialists abattoir for the export of Fresh, Hygienic, Organic and Quality Chilled mutton. HFI is located in Mojo, Oromia region 73 km east of Addis Ababa. This location enables livestock to be easily sourced as the abattoirs is placed in the vicinity of Goat / Sheep and Cattle grazing areas. All the animals slaughtered at HFI are strictly Sharia compliance under the supervision of Supreme council for Islamic affairs, Oromia, Ethiopia and expert veterinarians. 
Kidney / Liver / Testicles / Penis / Tripe & Trotter for Export to Middle east. 

HALAL FOOD Industries. plc. (HFI) can process approximately one million heads of Goat & Sheep per annum. The Goat / Sheep and Cattle are purchased from low land grazing area under the supervision of veterinary experts. The majority of live stock is purchased directly from farmers / pastorals. HFI has created long term relationships with pastorals associations and live stock agents to procure best quality healthy animals. HFI is working on Traceability of animals.

HALAL FOOD Industries. plc. (HFI) is HALAL accredited by Supreme council for Islamic affairs, Oromia, Ethiopia. HALAL FOOD Industries plc is approved by U.A.E authorities, to import in U.A.E. The abattoir has a Quality Assurance Program and in process of HACCP certification. The food health standards is regularly audited by the independent Auditors. This ensures quality and reliability of product at all levels from animal purchase, slaughtering, packing and chilling. HFI is also in process of obtaining approval of K.S.A & other G.C.C. relevant authorities.

    - Food / Meat technologist with minimum 7-12 years experience of independently managing processed ready to cook and ready to eat food & meat production.
    - Experience of preparing product costing based on raw materials and manufacturing costs to ensure profitable products.
    - Developing the recipe & ability to repeat processes to ensure consistency in taste and food safety, nutrition and quality management for long life processed meat.
    Qualification;- Degree or Diploma or B.Sc in Food science /Technology / Processing
      Candidate with previous experience in similar industry will be preferred
